Stayed with my family and friends. The place looked like it was still under construction. Had a moldy smell, mouse droppings in the cupboards. Kids were afraid to touch anything. Would not recommend for a family. We ended up having to book additional accommodations somewhere else.
The owners purchased the property just last year when it was in run-down condition. They focused initially on renovating the interior which, by and large, is in nice condition - especially the outdoor deck. They now are beginning to address the exterior, but that will take time. In the meantime, the house is a great value for large groups as it can sleep 10 people, consequently, the cost per person per night including cleaning and taxes was far lower than any other offering we found in the Greater Lake Sunapee area.
We visited in Winter to ski Mt Sunapee and the location was great for that, less than a 15 min drive. The house is unique in that itâs been built onto over time and you can see how the different rooms and deck were added. It had everything we needed for four and can accommodate 8-10 with all of the rooms with two queen beds. The property around was nice, with a river behind the house and many acres with trails to explore behind the inn across the street. The local host was very attentive with pre-check-in information by email and phone and helped out quickly when we asked for another household item to be provided. Youâll love it here.
