Great location, beautiful property. The only things that would have been nice would be a stovetop or electric tea kettle (not everyone drinks coffee!), and a better mattress in the downstairs left bedroom. Otherwise, we had a great stay!
We loved everything about this place, it was clean upon our arrival and had everything we needed to stay for 6 nights. However, every single day there was someone on the property. Not private at all when people are coming and going. One evening someone showed up and unloaded a jeep at 9pm and was not quiet about it. If you are looking for a place of solitude, this is not it.
Beautiful area away from cabin, which needs lots of TLC.
This is the first time the ratings on VRBO did not come close to expectations. The home did not look like the pictures, needs a lot of attention and clean up. The bathrooms are remodeled which are very nice. But the house is not kept up, pots and pans need to be replaced, linens and towels need replaced. There was a screen missing from an upstairs window, very dangerous. Only one fan in the house with no AC in the summer, so hot during the day. The view is of an old truck with a snow plow attached or a large garage structure or large pieces of equipment behind the storage area. Grand Lake/Granby is beautiful with lots to see and do but you cannot walk to any of these sites as the house is situated off of a major road. No sidewalk and a small shoulder, we didn't risk it. There was quite a bit of traffic noise as well. How the ratings were so high we have no idea.
We enjoyed our stay in this private mountain home with our family. It was great having a large driveway and space to park our trailer with UTVs. The riding trails were close by along with fun activities and restaurants in the town of Grand Lake. The home is clean and the kitchen is well stocked. We enjoyed the fire pit at night and the large deck to enjoy the cool mountain breezes. We hope to be back in the winter. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
Had a great trip with my grown boys and grand puppy . Plenty of room for all . Only downside would be the lack of outdoor seating at the property and was asked to empty the fire pit into a trash can next to the pit , however it was completely over flowing.
It took me a long time to find a place for our family. we have 3 girls, 17, 16 &14 + one 19yo son. It took me forever to find a place w adequate sleeping rooms & beds. This place fit perfectly and we had no required destination other than "Colorado" Grand Lake is stunning. A quiet little town with so much to do that finding this house was the key to our whole trip. The property is amazing as well. we enjoyed a few campfires, had a baby owl come up on the deck and visit with us for a few hours! The drive to our hikes & to trail ridge Marina was so convenient. We had no issues with the house at all & would love to stay here again should we ever be fortunate enough to travel back to grand lake.
Great home, worked perfect for our group. Very comfortable and clean. Only negative (which was a big one) was that the listing information suggested there is plenty of room for trailer parking in the rear of the home...this area had not been plowed except for a single short lane between the home and separate shop which made it very difficult to manage a snowmobile trailer we had with us. Other than trailer access the home was great.
Great location- beautiful cabin and property. We have now stayed here two times and will gladly return! Clean, lots of room, laundry and dishwasher! Thanks to the hosts of the cabin for allowing people to stay in your beautiful property
Thank you!
This was a great property for our family to spend a week in the snow for Chtistmas! Plenty of room for the five of us. there was even a Christmas tree fully decorated when we arrived :-) The cabin is well equiped with the basics. The wood burning stove was great on cold days! The kitchen and living room felt larger than the photos. The property is quiet, yet itâs close enough to Granby and Grand Lake for a morning drive to the coffee shop. my wife and I would recommend this place for a family vacation hope to be back in the future.
It was clean and nicely tucked into the woods. It doesn't feel like the neighbors are right on top of you, and yet the location is close to town.
The house was clean and cozy. My MIL had a little trouble getting into the tall beds (a stool would help) but we had everything we needed to make a whole Thanksgiving dinner! It was a fun snowy weekend.
Lovely cabin, beautiful location with fire pit. Nice furnishings (except for unusually high bed) and well stocked kitchen. But it wasn't cleaned before our arrival and it took 20 hours to get sheets and towels Also the owners stayed on site and the listing didn't share that. They were very quiet and respectful but wish I'd known before. Their dog (small) was off leash and I had a dog who wasn't a fan.
The cabin is adorable and nicely furnished. The surrounding wooded acreage provides a comfortable, secluded setting. The wildlife, fox and porcupine, enjoyed it with us. Could have been cleaner, and better maintained (light bulbs out, downstairs bathroom plugs not working, lights too dim to play games, read or work on projects in the evenings.) we hope it is just end of season wear and would like to stay again.
We enjoyed our stay at the property the setting was beautiful, peaceful and quiet. It accomodated our adult family nicely and allowed everyone some personal space. The open concept main floor was fabulous as we made dinner it made conversations easy. We appreciated the location to the lakes, towns and quick access to the park entrance and the hiking around the area. We felt fortunate that we chose this fabulous location and property, it made our stay very enjoyable.
Wonderful cabin close to everything but tucked away
We had a wonderful week at the Red Fox cabin! It's tucked away and very quiet, yet close to everything up in wonderful Grand County. We enjoyed some rainy days and then a sunny day, and on the clear night the stars were out in full display. Comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, and really just a wonderful getaway with the family. We'd come back to stay, for sure.
Quiet away from the busiest areas and centrally located between Granby and Grand Lake.
Cozy cabin with everything you need. Dogs had a good area to walk around staying on the property. Owners even had a long lead in the property to allow our dog to be outside while we enjoyed the fire pit. Beds we very comfy and with the windows open at night we slept like babies. Temps hit the low 80s and 40s at night. Did not have to use the wood stove but bet it works great in colder weather. There is no AC but it is not needed with windows open. Large smart TV and internet allowed us to just chill if we wanted. Also close to trails for hiking and owner shared pet friendly trails with our dogs. Only thing that we could not take advantage of was the screened door off the porch because it was ripped. Would recommend some bug spray if you like hanging outside with the family. Washer and dryer were great after using the fire pit or playing in water and allowed us not to overpack. Very close to all the lakes, park, and activities but you will need a vehicle to hop around since this is more in a nice, quiet, secluded area.
I liked that it was very close to Rocky Mountain National Park and the lakes. It was very quite and relaxing. It was a perfect little place for a get away.
