We had a stranger enter the door code & attempt to enter the unit. Thankfully we had the deadbolt locked. The man was confused as to why were there and said he stays there full time. I immediately tried to contact the host repeatedly and it took him nearly 24 hours to respond. I told him more than once I wanted a refund as our privacy was violated during our stay due to his lack of communication with a (previous?) tenant. Also I have small children who were very frightened when a stranger tried to enter our unit unbeknownst to us at 10:30 pm! I haven’t received a refund either.

Multiple Problems

Great location and condo was a good size for 3 generations of family members. However, once we arrived, we reached out to the host about the following concerns with pictures:-CLEANLINESS; when we arrived the place was sticky, used bandage on floor, air freshener sat by kitchen sink because of strong smell from drain, crumbs on kitchen counter. We did our own deep clean. Throughout the stay our 5 year-old’s feet had to keep being cleaned because they were black on the bottom. -SECURITY; 1 of 2 outside patio doors does not lock and our 5 year old is on the Autism spectrum. Host responded with indifference, “The door doesn’t lock because it’s on the second floor.”-MAINTENANCE: queen bed in bedroom 2 was broken down, broken knob on twin bed bedpost (both mentioned in reviews a year ago), broken light bulbs, broken toilet paper holder. Host downplayed concerns “Thank you, yes some of this is normal wear and tear.” Throughout ongoing conversations, host was unsympathetic and condescending.When on vacation everyone wants to unwind/relax, wants everything to be right and when it’s not, wants the host to make it right without hassle. This was not this vacation.Would not stay again because of the lack of cleanliness, security, maintenance of the unit and how the host interacts when dealing with guest’s concerns.

Ladies weekend getaway!

The property was clean, had everything we needed and was within walking distance of downtown. Large bathrooms. The downside was the mattresses are pretty soft and broken down.

Great location. Inaccurate sleeping arrangement description

The location was wonderful and kitchen was well stocked. Plenty of parking. Listing said two double beds in a bedroom, plus pullout sofa in the living room. It was actually twin beds and when we arrived there was a note saying we can’t use the sofa bed. Had to setup an air mattress. Booked it for 8 people, so that was a bummer. They provided 6 towels for the 8 people.

Nice condo and good location, but a few things were broken, blind in one room, lamp switch in bedroom and bed post. It was well stocked in the kitchen and plenty of essentials in the bathrooms! We would stay there again.

Fun location!

We had a great time visiting this property. It was a perfect location since we were boating on spring lake and then we were able to walk downtown for dinner. The home is spacious and fit our needs. The pull out couch listed in the listing is broken so they have provided a blow up mattress. It worked for our group but something to be aware of. Thanks for hosting us!

Short Family Stay in Grand Haven

We brought our 3 kids up to Grand Haven for a few days to play at the beach and visit Michigan’s Adventure (theme park) and this was the perfect condo for our trip. The space was fantastic and location was great. Bigby and Ryke’s Bakery are right in front of the condo so we would walk over every morning for coffee and amazing pastries before we ventured out for the day. The condo is definitely a walkable distance to town but with our kids we found it easiest to drive and never had a problem finding parking. We loved our time here and would recommend to friends. Our oldest even said, “anytime we’re in Grand Haven, this is where we’re staying from now on!” We could recommend so many spots in the area but some standouts for us: Chinook Pier mini-golf, Ted’s restaurant (in Spring Lake), and Jumpin’ Java (the honey & cinnamon latte was excellent). We also tried a handful of recommendations from the condo binder and were never disappointed – so trust the binder. :)

Great location, fun stay

Everything you could want is at this beautiful location in Grand Beach, MI. Family friendly, quiet setting, pool AND beach access along with games, bonfires, smores, popcorn, etc. Comfy beds, great rooms, and would definitely return.

Great Location!

We had a pleasant stay here for 4th of July—the condo is in a great location, close to the beach and downtown. The condo could’ve been a touch cleaner—it smelled strongly of cats upon arrival, and triggered the allergies of one member of our party. The furniture and mattresses are rather worn, and could do with an update/replacing
all that said, overall we enjoyed our stay!

It was nice accommodations but nothing that particularly stood out. Suggestion: 6 adults staying for 2 nights... provide more than 6 towels and 6 washcloths. Additional nice gestures are including a few bottled waters.

Great, clean condo

Communication with owner was not that great. Said property would ready around 3:00 p.m. when asked about check in time. Arrived at 3:30 p.m. and when we tried to open the door, the cleaning crew was super annoyed and said it won’t be available until after 4:00 p.m. Condo was super clean and very spacious!

Great Stay for a Girls' Trip

This property has a great location. It is close to the beach, shopping, and restaurants. We had a Girls' Trip with five adult women and all had a great time. We all agreed that we would stay at this VRBO again.
