The place could really use a little TLC. It smelled old and looked old. The bedding was ripped and paper thin. The soap and lotion dispensers in the room were so dirty and looked moldy. The pool room air was so thick with chemicals that it was uncomfortable. Using the hot tub jets caused an unpleasant frothy slimy situation.

The good - the room was clean, staff friendly and helpful, and it was a short walk to the Fruita Trail where we could stretch our legs after being in the car for hours. The not-so-good - I'm not sure if it's because we booked through Expedia or not, the room was not in a good location as it was right next to one of the utility stacks. Showers being taken nearby on our floor as well as the floor above us created a lot of noise in the room. Additionally, the cabinet housing the fridge had a harmonic vibration that was noisy whenever the compressor ran. The bed and pillows were only OK, and all of the furnishings were a bit tired as you might expect from an aging hotel. It's generally a noisy location, which is out of the hands of the hotel. Overall, it was about value for the price and a place to sleep and have a light breakfast before moving on.
