It is a quiet home in a close-in location, within walking distance of downtown. The kitchen works well, and the laundry machines are fantastic. The only thing to watch out for is the staircase to the second floor (where two of the bedrooms and three of the four beds are located). This is an older house, and the staircase is very steep. It worked for us, and they thoughtfully put a baby gate at the top of the staircase. If we had a small child, I would not have put him or her in the top bedrooms. The new mini splits (a/c and heat) worked very well, and the hot water was quick and plentiful.
A beautiful house with stunning original features! Super great host, excellent response times, and we hope to stay here again! We had such a lovely time.
I enjoyed the space, there is a large willow tree in the back yard thats awesome to look at, the neighborhood is quiet and i would definately stay here again
Was there to work. House is town. Driveway parking. Very clean and comfortable. Like being at home. The stairs to second floor are like most older homes. Easier for younger to get up and down. Large ground floor bathroom. Two sinks in shower /bath. Door between where the toiled is with another sink in that room. Plenty of room beautiful neighborhood. Quiet. Excellent host! Would definitely stay again.
We encourage you to visit Grangeville on the Camas Prairie nestled within the Nez Perce National Forest. The home provided indoor/outdoor space for us to relax and spend time with family. A quiet, well-kept neighborhood with basic amenities only a short walk away.
Looking for things to do?
Upon our arrival the Canola fields were in full bloom - great photo opportunities.
Check out Mammoth display in Grangeville (looks better at night) and visit Tolo Lake. The Rib Guy and Gal is close by the Mammoth display for some tasty barbeque.
Interested in learning about the history of the area, visit the St. Gertrude Museum and Monastery, very informative!
The hiking and views are awesome! Checkout Grangeville Salmon Road, Clearwater River and Selway River/Falls. There is so much to see --
The Dworshak Dam, the highest straight access dam is worth the trip. We were able to tour the dam and at the time it was nearly at capacity!
During our visit we prepared the majority of our meals 'at home', but checkout the neighborhood for the Taco foodtruck and ice cream cones served at the local grocery store. If you are looking to cool off after a busy day, visit the Grangeville park and pool.
Thank you for sharing your home with us!
Communication with host was wonderful. It would be nice to have a binder on hand at property with rules, expectations and local amenities/options for tourism. Everything was adequate and congruent with the pricing.
This is our second time booking this Vrbo. This is a great house and fantastic host. Spacious, clean, and met all of our needs - Family of 5. The wonderful town of Grangeville is a few minutes walk.
