This is a small garage turned in to an accommodation. No ventilation at all. You either keep doors and windows open and let all bugs and insects come in or suffocate with doors/windows closed. There was a small fan but thatâs not sufficient. Definitely a warm or HOT garage.Listing is completely misleading - it mentions Washer and Dryer as amenities : when we went, realized we have to pay the owner to get clothes washed using their home washer and dryer.Bathroom had no lighting- we had to either use the heating globes and swelter in the bathroom or use a camping/phone torch (we had a camping light luckily). Even when we mentioned the light issue, they did nothing to help.No towel rack in the bathroom : there was a rusty bathroom storage to keep towels. Better get a tetanus shot after using the bathroom.Expired food items were kept for visitors to use at a cost.Stayz should ban this listing. It is not suitable for any human or living being.
Certainly right about it being warm! For the middle of summer was too warm with no way to cool it down other than 2 small windows. Also didnât help that they have polar fleece sheets and pillow cases. Couldnât sleep in the beds.
Cute little self contained studio (garage conversion) - suited more to 2 adults. We were 4 adults and it was quite tight as there was no room to move at all with the sofa bed out and no inside area to eat. The included breakfast was good. Overall, a nice little place for an overnight stay.
We enjoyed our short stay here. A lovely warm room with good amenities. We loved the proximity to the beach and local Tavern was a winner. Close enough to
Hokitika to do the Treetop walk and the Hokitika Gorge.
We were welcomed very positively by one of the hosts. The room was a good size and was both well appointed and well equipped. Great bathroom and kitchenette. Well stocked with both free breakfast stuff and a range of other items we could purchase. Great local info book.
