I really wanted to like this place, as the listing for it looks great, but other than the location and proximity to Yosemite it was utterly disappointing. When we first got there, the original door code they gave me didnât work (luckily the host provided a second one) and there was no power. We found out from the neighbor that the host actually moved because the frequent power outages, yet they donât provide a generator for guests. It went out both days we were there for a couple hours, and in 100+°F weather the kids with us quickly started feeling unwell. Then came the cleanliness, which was the grossest place Iâve ever stayed. There were moldy, rotting dishes in the dishwasher, dirty dishes put back in the cupboards, hairs and A PIECE OF AN ONION PEEL in the beds, sticky floors, garbage around the lot and in the house. There was not enough clean bedding in the linen closet for all of us, so we had to ration it between us all. Finally, the rules listed on the page here are nothing compared to the 5 page rule book they have at the residence trying to absolve themselves of any liability, which also mentions the surveillance cameras (one in the front, one on the back balcony) that is not mentioned on the listing (although according to Vrbo, that could be grounds for being kicked off the platform). The host did refund us the cleaning fee, but overall the place is not worth the price, and if you do stay you should expect to lose power for a couple hours most days in the summer.
