The shower kept backing up. Bathroom had mold on ceiling and walls. Room smelled musty and carpets can use a good deep cleaning. We had dinner at The Lucky Buck on our first night, food was cold, lacked flavor and overpriced. Recommend the 12 minute drive to Two Guys Pizza. Service was great and food was delicious.

Very spacious and clean room. Its about ~12 miles from Big Oaks Flat Entrance which is great as you still need to travel about 20 miles to get to most popular parts of forest.

$190 per night, but I think the price is unreasonably high. There are no obvious negatives about the hotel, but there are some obvious downsides. On the positive side, the beds are clean and comfortable, and the bathroom is decent. The heater was moderately noisy, but it worked well. On the negative side, the soundproofing was very poor; I could hear absolutely everything that was said and happening in the next room, even though they weren't speaking loudly. The refrigerator was so noisy that it was impossible to sleep; I had to turn it off. The chair in the room was covered in old dirt stains; I didn't want to put my clothes on them. In fact, they charged me $190 for the night and then $150 and $30 upon check-in. The next day, they refunded the $150, bringing the total to $190 + $30. I don't understand why, but I didn't bother looking into it.

The rooms condition was good. About the same as any other travel hotel. The problem was the thermostat. They are so into savings, the thermostat turns off everything after a super short period of non-movement. Which of course turns off the fan and the AC or heater. The controls for it are also awful. If you need white noise to sleep, stay somewhere else or bring your own.
