Remote feeling yet 10 minutes to the small village, where there’s a few restaurants, a grocery store, and some tour operators. Beautiful views, well appointed and clean.

Acceptable but a bit overpriced for what it is.

The stay wasn’t bad, but also wasn’t wonderful. It was acceptable but slightly disappointing for the cost. The place was ice cold when we got there (roughly 10-12 degrees), and it took about 20 minutes for it to start heating up again. The pillows could probably use an upgrade and the floors left my socks stained, unfortunately.

Absolutely stunning views. Peaceful and quiet and had a good stock of kitchen items for us to prepared food. Some concerns were late information regarding check-in instructions and the key/lock didn't work.

The views from the cottage were unbelievable. Might be my most favorite spot in all of Iceland to be honest! We were lucky enough to have a clear sunny day with an absolutely stunning sunset. Mountain ocean and grassland views with subtle city lights )in the distance). As an avid traveler, I never want to revisit places I’ve already been, however I will be thinking about my next trip to Iceland just to stay here again… absolutely amazing!

This cottage is located in a beautiful spot of the Snæfellsnes peninsula, right on the beach looking over the Bjerdha Fjord. It is close to Grundarfjörður town, which has grocery stores and restaurants, but at the same time it is isolated enough that we could see an amazing Northern lights spectacle late at night! The glass walls on 2 sides of the cabin allow even to observe the lights from inside (there are all blocking blinds/curtains when you want privacy, no worries!). The bathroom could use a bit more shelving space, and the kitchenette is really small, with a very tiny fridge. But the view of the sunset on the shore, the amazing starry sky at night (in September) and the sheer quietness of this place made up amply for these little shortcomings. Highly recommended!

The property was very nice but the service was non existent. Literally, there was no lobby or check in or anyone to follow up with any questions or concerns. Someone came out to meet us when we first arrived but we didn’t know where to go to find anyone after that.

We loved Dis Cottages! What a perfect place to rest after our flight and to start our Icelandic adventure. So many amazing things to do and so close by! We especially loved our view of the horses, ocean, and Kirkjufell. Thank you Anna and Sebastian for your flexibility and kindness. We can’t wait to return one day!

bien situé avec une belle vue sur la mer. Une micro maison confortable mais si vous prévoyez cuisiner des repas, c'est petit et minimal. Parfait pour petit-dejeuner, micro-onde, grille pain et cafetière avec café disponible et tisane. Le check in a été un peu difficile, nous n'avons pas reçu le courriel tel que prévu pour le self-cheking, heureusement hotel.com a contacté l'hôte et nous avons eu l'information juste à temps pour pouvoir avoir accès à l'hébergement.

The location and scenic views are outstanding. The room is fairly well laid out and the bed is very comfortable. Cons: the standard units are quite small: there is no room to put your luggage. Also, the driveway up to the cottage is full of potholes-they could be filled with gravel. Lots of potholes on the driveway to the cottage: they could be filled with gravel.

We stayed here two nights, it was a beautiful little cottage. The windows gave an amazing view and overall was very quiet. It was close by to a small town with a grocery store and few places for coffee and food.
