I had a fantastic stay at the Barceló. This is a top notch hotel, and the rooms, bathrooms, and all common areas are incredibly clean. The pool area is beautiful and relaxing, and having a well-equipped gym on site is a great bonus. You can tell the staff truly take pride in the hotel. I also want to highlight their honesty and customer service. I accidentally left my AirPods in the room and didn’t realize it until five days later. When I contacted the hotel, they had them safely waiting at the front desk. That gave me such peace of mind. Highly recommend staying here.

Response to my request for the shuttle took too long. Once at the counter the reception was cold, impersonal, and the manager had to interrupt the 2 youngsters under her care to stop talking and help my wife with her check in. It was definitely not professional. Staff overall was courteous. When my group and I walked in to the bar we were stopped by a waiter demanding to know if we had reservations. Mind you, the bar was pretty much empty, but we felt as if we were not welcomed based on our appearance (backpacks and jeans). Restaurant staff were great, smiling and happy. Unfortunately on our last night a reception manager was determined not to let my brother get dinner because the later we received was for one person, even though it was the staff's mistake. She acted as if one extra meal was going to bankrupt the hotel, and her attitude was definitely unpleasant.
