First, I want to say that Pam was a gem to work with!
The condo: It was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked, and the furniture was comfortable. The mattress in the master bdrm was good, and the couch sat well for the 2 of us. Patio seating was great! The table & chairs are comfortable and are high enough to enjoy an unobstructed view of the beautiful beach & gulf. There were some beach toys and chairs available in the outdoor closet which was a very nice treat. My husband had to work while we were there, and the internet connection was strong and stable throughout our visit. On our first full day, a storm with high wind speed and extremely strong gusts came through, and the condo personnel were out prepping the buildings in case things got nasty. It was encouraging to see how prepared and efficient they were.
Local stuff: We took the Dauphin Island Ferry into Ft. Morgan from Mobile and that was fun, definitely worth the time and money. There's a new Dollar General close to the condo. (Hopefully the last business to come down the path. Part of why we choose FM is the separateness from GS.) Sadly, there was only one bright spot regarding restaurants this time, and that was Nonna's Pizzeria. It was so good that we planned to eat there again before leaving. The 2 other places where we ate had good service but only okay food.
