Location was great to visit place, stores, restaurants, anything that you want to visit. House was great everything worked properly and was easy to find.
Thanks much
Would stay there again !
Property is cute and cozy. But near a busy street that makes it quite loud. This property also could use AC as the summer days get quite hot in the area.
Very simple booking and check-in. The location is well maintained and very clean. This is not a complaint and I believe it has been mentioned in previous reviews, parking is on the street. I would stay here again.
We spent a week in Gunnison leading up to Western Coloradoâs graduation. We were able to easily walk around town, and
visit the university. Plenty of cookware to make meals. Very clean . Easy no key locks(love that) Off street parking. Lovely decor that matched the overall Victorian house. As an historian really enjoyed the map of historic Gunnison.
The place was perfect for me and my buddy. Two bedrooms and 1 and 1/2 bath worked great and I didn't have to listen to him snore. Kitchen was well equipped, and the back porch room was nice for keeping our gear out of the way. It was very cold during our stay but the radiator heat in each room kept the place perfectly comfortable. It was a nice stay.
Beautiful house and a convenient launch point for our Colorado road trip
The house was beautiful and in a great location within Gunnison, which is a really cute small town. We used the house as our home base during a long weekend road trip all around Colorado, and it was absolutely perfect for our group of two mother-daughter pairs. The house has clearly been lovingly cared for and updated, while maintaining tons of historic charm. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided, the check-in and check-out processes were very easy, and it was overall a great home away from home for a few days. We would definitely stay here again!
This is not a luxury accommodation, but it has a very appealing old-fashioned charm and is quite well kept. It is easy walking distance to downtown. A bonus if you have an EV (like we do) is that there's a free charger that's also walking distance (located at City Hall on Virginia). You're a little more than half an hour from Crested Butte, which was our primary destination, but staying in Gunnison is way cheaper than CB.
Our only criticisms are fairly minor: it would be nice if the parking situation were explained in the check-in info and if the sign that's supposed to identify this unit's parking place were actually there (it is not); the "mountain a/c" system is fine, but the explanation should point out that the guest before you may have left the heat turned way up (even in summer) such that no amount of cool outside air will make it comfortable inside -- ideally the cleaning crew would check this and turn it down so it wouldn't even be an issue. It also wouldn't hurt to emphasize that Main St. is gets pretty busy and noisy early in the morning, so you don't want to leave the west-facing windows open all night.
Gunnison is a very nice town. I'm pretty sure we'll be back.
Amazingly renovated home, we wanted for nothing. Parking was a bit frustrating as the spot reserved for this home was occupied and the street parking was very busy. We would stay again!
