Liked: Staff & service
Disliked: Cleanliness, room comfort
This review is specifically for the “penthouse” suite with the private bathroom. We were very disappointed to arrive to find the bathroom filthy and clearly used and not cleaned. I’m assuming one of the guests from the downstairs rooms with the shared bathrooms had found it and been using it, but the management really should have checked before we arrived. We bought cleaning wipes at the market and cleaned the bathroom as best we could. Also the mattress was so old and worn out that you could see the springs through the sheet. We layered two duvets under the sheet to even be able to sleep on it. Their dogs barked nonstop for hours, from the time we arrived til late into the night. Breakfast was good and the room was huge. It’s a shame because the place has a lot of potential and could be really nice, but is just very poorly managed. Certainly not worth the $100/night price tag. Perhaps fine if you’re paying $18 for the rooms downstairs with the shared bathroom.
