This was a beautiful and convenient stay and very clean. We enjoyed the outdoor shower and the wonderful views and forest location. We appreciated the amenities provided such as beach towels and soaps and eating basics. The bed was a bit soft for our personal taste. We were very pleased with our stay and we would return for sure.
Overall it is pretty accurate to the listing and I have no issues with the property because of that and will still give it a full rating. If the listing seems great and perfect for you then you'll have no issues and you probably would even assume the cons of it that I had but didn't think of before booking. Pros: Really easy check in and was pretty clean and put together. Can be a nice cozy location if you love camping and that outdoors vibe. Personal Cons: There is no lock on the sliding glass door leading to the room. There is a lock to the treehouse but it is not enclosed so there would be other ways of access and that peace of mind of a lock on both doors would help but again maybe this is not an issue for you. Just want to state that so others know before and make their informed choice and not be surprised like I was. My last con would just be bugs. A lot of ants in the room and then just other bugs and things around the area. Obviously this could've been assumed but I didn't. Also not a problem if you love camping and are used to that. Other than that had some great views and vibes and had no issues with the owners and the place seemed clean.
We had a quick stay at this quaint back house. Itâs quite small but does the job. It had everything we needed - from kitchen appliances to A/C. The outdoor shower was a nice touch. Upon arrival, we were a little bit confused if we were in the right area and did not have service so recommend taking screenshots of the guide that is sent beforehand. This stay is in a great location in North Shore.
It was a nice experience to stay off the beach! It was a cute studio with an outside bathroom and deck. It was very private and comfortable! Perfect for our short weekend.!
Excellent, peaceful, and comfortable. The property host sent detailed communication before my stay so finding the property and getting inside was very easy. The property itself is in a quiet, secluded neighborhood and grants the guest plenty of cozy privacy. The facilities are clean and modern, with a lovely outdoor shower. It's extremely close to the local grocery store and quick drive to anywhere in the north shore. I'm very pleased with my stay!
Great place if you are looking to stay a little bit away from all the action but still close to great beaches and food. One thing to note is that parking in the driveway (which is very steep) can get tight when there are three cars, which happened frequently during our trip.
Amazing place to stay. Outdoor shower was a gem, Place was simple but everything you needed. The only difficult thing was the walkway down for anyone with mobility issues would have a hard time at it.
Great stay overall. Pros: beautiful scenery and deck space with friendly gecko friends. Comfortable unit. Cool outdoor shower with hot water. Keurig coffee with a few free pods. Cons: very limited storage and hanging space, the only towel hooks are outdoors where it rains and get windy daily. There should be hooks inside the bathroom and/or in the unit. Bathroom is not inside the unit, you need to go outside to access it. Zero storage space in bathroom besides top of toilet tank and small sink. Freezer barely works and needs defrosting. There is not a picnic table on the deck as pictured. The unit itself technically doesnât lock, just the front gate to the area. Summary: beautiful and fun stay, especially if you are low maintenance and donât have a ton of belongings.
Very clean and updated. Sunrise view beautiful. Communication excellent. We would stay again. A few challenges: There is no walkway to the lodge and walking down the grassy slope at night or with luggage is difficult. It mists on the mountain and made the grass slippery. The second challenge is not having a place to put your luggage. There is minimal storage to put things outside in the bathroom or anywhere in the bedroom. We had to keep everything in our suitcases at night. In the morning we had to make the bed and then we could open up our suitcases and get out what we need. Not difficult but just inconvenient.
The site was tidy and clean. Great location with quick access to town/beaches. The private patio was a great place to relax after a long day. Lots of gecko friends outside. Would definitely stay again.
This property was perfect for my husband and I. It was quiet when we needed a break and sleep, had a beautiful view, and high speed WiFi for online schooling. Communication to the property manager was quick and helpful. I would rent this property again if we head back to Hawaii.
Location and contact with host perfect. Room was a bit small, we had 2 large suitcases and those were challenging to store. But overall great experience.
amazing and beautiful setting, great description. the indoor space is small but there is plenty of room in the unit as there is a huge deck and open air shower as well as a bathroom. This is the perfect set up for a stay in the north shore. with a great feeling of connection to nature. you feel far away yet you are close to grocery store, beach, restaurants etc. thanks!
The room was very small, enough for a queen bed a narrow walk space on two sides and a counter/sink and dorm fridge. No chairs or table inside. Used AC unit fan at night since ceiling fan was noisy. Nice deck with picnic table but ability to use it was limited as it was often wet from daily rains. The outdoor shower and toilet was a different experience We thought It was closer to sharks cove than it was(thought we could walk there). Nice neighborhood but the road up to it was narrow and windy and about 1.5-2 miles long and 500 feet above sea level so not realistically walkable to the beach, and we like to walk a lot. Having Foodland so close was convenient. Location was great in that Sunset, pipeline, Waimea Bay beaches and Haleâwa (restaurants and shops) were a short drive away.
The Treehouse was a very nice place to stay for our three-night visit to the North Shore. Most of all we loved the outdoor shower, the deck, and the view. The tightness of the room was only an issue when it was raining outside; there's not a lot of room for luggage, and you have to make room for the other person to move in the little bit of space there is. But we managed just fine. The neighborhood is peaceful and beautiful, but keep in mind that the nearest food is a few miles back (on the main highway); no restaurants or stores you can walk to from the house. Overall, we really liked this place and hope to stay there again!
