Breakfast was a hot waffle. This is Half Moon Bay. Our stay 3 days earlier in Mariposa gave eggs, sausage and fruit. Our room had bugs. Took pictures, posted. Manager said she didn’t care. Night desk manager moved us at midnight. They need different management and better amenities for $400 over 2 nights. It's Half Moon Bay! Pictures also don't match the property condition.

No water

Room was fine when we checked in. Went to rinse a cup in sink and had no water. Spoke to the desk about it and they said there was a problem with the water line and it would be fixed within the hour. Left to find a restroom and eat something, 3 hours later came back to the room still no water. Checked with front desk again and was told it would be fixed within 15 minutes. We were ready to pack up and leave, when the water came back on. Room was clean as always and enjoyed the beach during our stay.

Room was well kept and clean, parking was convenient and ice machine was nearby to all rooms which was nice. Breakfast was lack luster and there was a lot of random furniture scattered around the area of the buildings. Overall, worth the price, you pay for what you get, maybe bring some of your own breakfast stuff if you’re super picky.

The only thing lacking was the Wi-fi was so weak I couldn't get my e-mails on either my phone or laptop and Half Moon Bay didn't give me enough bars on the phone to pull in the e-mails either

Comfy but choose 2nd floor room

Clean room, comfy bed. On ground floor it was noisy until upstairs room settled. And cleaners started vacuuming overhead just before 9 am. Otherwise a good stay. No elevator so accessible folks must put up with noise from upstairs. Breakfast choices decent, coffee at breakfast not good.

The staff are always wonderful and helpful. Room was clean, except the shower curtain. It smelled sour. Other than that, the room was great. They have enough parking, but an RV parked in the back taking up 4 spaces, so I had to park in front of the other building away from my room. Breakfast was great, limited options, but it's better than nothing. I'll always come back to this place when I visit Half Moon Bay!

Other than the internet being slow/spotty, our stay was quite nice. The staff was friendly and efficient in all respects, and the morning’s self-serve breakfast replete with waffles, oatmeal, bagels, juice, and coffee, etc. The location is nice, too, in that it’s near five beaches and only a short ten minutes into town. All in all, a great choice for an overnight or two!

Great location for hiking on the pacific coast trail. 2 miles to the harbor, near state beaches. Low frills stay.

Clean, economic, properly well maintained and managed. Very lose to city with small CA-1 port town atmosphere. Less than a mile from state beaches. A frw minutes north there are fishing charters and restaurants out of pillar point.

The deadly chemical smell of the rm they cked us into. My travel companion was admitted for Pneumonia after the stay at the hotel. I had a lot of negative side effects also and suffered an asthma attack Tues. AM. Luckly, we finally convinced her to give us the other room they had available. But not before we were both nauseated and feeling wird in our head/thinking. We woke with sore throats, Headaches and felt like an elephant was sitting on our chests by the next AM. We had that taste and smell of the room lingering with us for a good 12 hrs. or more. I have a lot of concern for our health after and especially the effects it had on my guest traveling w me. She's still in the hospital. My sore throat, cough and HA I think may be a little better today, but will see after I feel better from my Asthma Attack. We checked her in for us to know if we had been poisoned or what by the fumes. She has good Ins. I figured whatever she was DX with would tell me what I should worry about. She was short of breath and having problems walking very far without sitting down and just progressively got worse from that exposure on. It was scary, inconvenient and affected our entire trip and what we had planned to do etc. I have a lot I could say about how it negatively affected our plans and since we've been home.
