Great location, close some excellent restaurants. Easy walk to boardwalk, Scotia Centre and Downtown ( maybe 10 min). Didnât realize it was a basement apartment ( only 4 steps down from grade).
We had a great stay, squeezing clean so close to Harbour and activities and our hosts were more than helpful and informative. Have already recommended to family and friends. Thank you Catherine and Kevin
We had a fantastic time staying at this quaint place. So close to everything we wanted to do in downtown Halifax. No reason to rent a car when you stay here! This place was fully stocked with everything you need. Grocery store not too far of a walk to pick up some breakfast and dinner items if you choose. Close to the harbour front with all the restaurants and bars. Would highly recommend staying here!
This apartment has all you need. At the end of the street (downhill to Gottingen) is the most amazing bakery! LF bakery has THE BEST almond croissant and cinnamon buns I've ever had, baked fresh on site. My croissant was still hot! A must stop for your coffee and breakfast every morning. Same corner was super fun at night. We enjoyed live music at the Seahorse Tavern most night after our walk home from the harbourfront. My husband and I came up for Jazz Fest and a couple joined us and slept on pullout couch. The location couldn't be better to all the venues. Never spent a penny on cabs. Walked every where. Hosts were quick to respond to any special requests and even brought a treat of local strawberries when we mentioned the back up battery for the wired fire alarm needed changing. Would stay here again!
The location is perfect (close to the Citadel, the waterfront and grocery shopping), and the full kitchen is a bonus. There's no cable, but Netflix is a decent compromise. We had a little trouble with the code, but that was remedied fairly quickly.
Good location to downtown. You can hear the upstairs neighbors for sure...but the apartment is super cute and was everything we were looking for. The ownwers were lovely and very quick to answer our questions and inquiries.
Cozy 1 bedroom, 15 min walk to Argyle St. Bed was very comfortable. But after a long day of sightseeing, returning at 9pm and hearing stomping feet on the ceiling from the renters above every night - not cool. Went on until 11pm, even with TV, on I could hear kids running around. If you want a quiet night, check to see if renters above have kids. Also saw 4 bugs on the floor. No compensation offered from owner.
Although I never met Kevin & Catherine they were in constant contact and very helpful. My only problem was climbing back up all the hills in Halifax at the end of the day đ Coming from SW Ontario Iâm not used to everything being up hill. There were lots of cafes & restaurants in the area. I really enjoyed my stay
I loved everything except the family who lived upstairs. A mother and 2 daughters. They were loud, with lots of yelling at each other, stomping on the floor. I know the owner talked to the mother but nothing changed.
