We arrived expecting what was advertised, only to find a crater in the driveway that likely caused a tire deflation. Not a great start.Inside, the âluxuryâ quickly fell apart. A dank, overpowering smell lingered despite the strongest air fresheners. The photos online were a complete illusionâcobwebs, cluttered cabinets, broken hangers, and an alarm without a battery. The floors were uneven, rails were poorly constructed, and there were cracks in the foundation. Rusted fixtures and no laundry products as promised completed the disappointment. The bedroom door knob, which seemed like it hadnât seen an update in decades, fell off every time we shut the door. This left anyone inside trapped until someone passing by could let them outâhardly the kind of problem you expect from a âluxuryâ stay. When we called the owner, they seemed unfamiliar with our booking, hinting they manage âseveral properties.â The result was impersonal service that felt as sterile as an automated system.Lesson learned: not all ads are true, and not all hosts know what it means to truly host. This place is in dire need of an updateâand luxury it is not.
