Very Responsive Property Owners!

Super clean and modernized property in an established neighborhood on a quiet street. The electronic lock's battery was dead when we got there, so we needed to call the property management number (conveniently provided in our check-in info) to get in. A smoke alarm started chirping a low battery at 1:30am (always the middle of the night, right?). Neither of these were the fault of the owner nor property manager - just bad luck. What wasn't luck was the excellent response and genuine care both the owner and management company showed. They were there the next day to replace the batteries and even went around looking for any lightbulbs that might be out! Communication was excellent and it was clear the house had recently been renovated and updated with new everything (appliances, furniture, flooring, AC, etc). Very clean too! Our only suggestions for improvement would be more comfortable beds. They seemed new but not great quality and needed more support - even a thin sheet of plywood between the mattresses and bed frame would probably help. My wife ended up sleeping on the couch, which was more supportive (though my snoring wasn't helping either, lol!). One of the bathroom doors was very difficult to open once closed. Nothing a planer couldn't fix. Overall, we had a great time and would come again!

Comfortable Home

This was our third stay at this property..we like the quiet neighborhood, easy access to 64,overall a real gem. Host is a Pro..we really like how she treats us..we'll be staying here again!

A lovely stay

We had a nice quiet stay in Hampton for a big festival. It was the perfect place to recharge. My only thought is that one or two of the rooms could use 2 double beds or bunk beds instead of queens to make it easier to accommodate kids. It was nice having the grill. We had a lovely dinner. All in all quite nice. Thanks!

Restful 2 weeks

We were 6 adults, my husband and myself, our 3 adult children and 1 son-in-law. We arrived after dark and missed the house because there was no porch light on, but we found it the second time around the block. House was a good size for the 6 of us with 2 bathrooms. A couple minutes drive to Buckroe Beach and easy to get other places so good location. Neighborhood felt safe. Had a couple issues during our stay: fridge broke down and kitchen sink started leaking (different days). Caleb responded quickly and had both fixed same day. Our 1st experience & enjoyed our stay.

Had a very good experience. Property was as the pictures showed. No bait and switche.

Was not firmilar with VA. Thought I picked a property at VIRGINIA BEACH. I did know I picked a property in Hampton VA. But no problem there was a beach 5 minute away from the property. We could have walked, it was that close.

Great place for a family getaway!

Lynn's property provided a great home base for an overdue, 3 generation family getaway (thanks, Covid!). The house was comfortable, well-appointed and in a great location that was close to the beach and the highway. I was surprised to find it well supplied with all the little things you need but that aren't often provided (dishwasher tabs, paper towels, tp, etc.) Such a nice touch! The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. It's about a 1-mile drive to Buckroe Beach with plenty of free parking. What a beautiful area with wide sidewalks for walking, a fishing pier, and a long stretch of sandy beach. A hidden gem that exceeded my expectations! Lynn and Caleb were very responsive when we had a question and they made sure our stay was enjoyable. Would highly recommend this property and this homeowner!

Clean, Perfect Location

Excellent property, my group had 8 and every one had their own bedroom, plenty of space. It’s been updated, was clean and the location was a perfect basecamp to get to Williamsburg, Virginia Beach and Norfolk within a short drive. When we had an issue with the shower on the first day, someone came right way to help, very polite, friendly and helpful, and on a holiday too! Buckroe Beach is super close, sandy beaches with lifeguards
 actually cleaner than VA beach. We had a very nice stay.

Spacious and conveniently located

Very conveniently located near Buckroe and Fort Monroe Beaches. You can jump on 64 to Virginia Beach, Norfolk, or Williamsburg Plenty of room at the kitchen table and livingroom for a large family.

Graduation Trip

Lynn was amazing, responded very quickly, and answered all my annoying questions. The house was amazing and had everything we needed. It is super close to downtown Hampton which was great for getting on the highway quickly. Would definitely book again!

Lovely beach house, imperfect communication

Overall, this house was lovely and is a great place for any family looking for a beach getaway in Hampton! I only had two concerns during our time here: 1) I sent the property manager a message using one of the channels they recommended (email), and I never received any response. This mean that we were unclear on a few details surrounding checkout, and we also were unable to follow-up on the wifi issues we experienced so we were without internet for a decent amount of our stay here. I recommend future travelers keep communication strictly on Vrbo. 2) The host notified us a short time before our arrival that there is a Ring doorbell installed on the property. Having one of these at home, I know that can mean the owners will get a push notification and a video feed each time someone enters or leaves the house (although I have no idea whether or not that's the case here). While I'm not opposed to this level of surveillance, I do expect that details like this will be included in the listing so that I can make decisions in the best interests of my family and our privacy. Overall, I would recommend this property for others staying in the area. It was clean, nicely decorated, the beds and couches were comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. Thanks!

Terrific property

This property is in an ideal location with easy access to the beach, Phoebus, downtown Hampton, Interstate 64 and countless other terrific locations. The beds are very comfortable, the towels were large and soft. Everything was very clean and smelling fresh when we arrived. The house is well-appointed and in fact looks like a house that's been professionally staged. We will be back.

Better Than a Hotel When Traveling with Family

We were unfortunately in the area for a funeral, and opted to rent a home for the weekend rather than get a hotel. It saved us a little money, and we found it was so much nicer to have the common areas to spend time as a the family. In a hotel, 3 basic rooms for the 6 of us would have meant cramming into one room and sitting on the beds if we wanted to spend time together. We made use of the comfy living room, large dining room table, and picnic table in the back. We even made home made pizzas one night for dinner in the kitchen. While the reason for our trip was sad, we had a great time spending time as a family in this beautiful home. My only complaint is the additional insurance policy I had to buy for the place, that didn't show up until I went to reserve the property. The alternative was a large security deposit, and I didn't want to risk the owner making a bogus claim and having to fight to get that money back. I've been burned too many times by greedy landlords with rental deposits to take that risk.

My stay

My stay was amazing overall. Very relaxing and welcoming. Honestly didn’t want to leave. The only concern is the cleanliness, as I was cleaning I found evidence of the last guest that may have been there so I had to clean up after them. Due to covid I’m very big on my space being cleaned so that did make me worry a tad but nothing major. I would definitely make an effort to come back because I was very much so in love with the vibe of the property.
