Very straight forward. They were expecting me so check in was no problem. The room was in nice condition with all the facilities specified. The staff booked a taxi for me to go to the airport at the end of my stay.

The hotel is very central in the city. There are restaurants in the street outside the door. The staff and owner are all very friendly and helpful. The place was clean, but there were builders working when I was there. I was told about this in advance and they never worked at night.

The staff at Hanoi Discovery Hotel were very welcoming and helpful. It was very convenient to very central places in Old Quarter Hanoi. The room was perfect for a solo traveler like me. Hope to stay again sometime!

If you want to be in the heart of Beer Street, this is your place for a cheap price. However the cheap price and local of bars, results in mediocre room and what appeared to be vomit on the bathroom wall which could have easily been cleaned by housekeeping. Will define spend the extra 10 usd if staying in a drinking area.

Good basic hotel located in central backpacker district. Staff very helpful. Breakfast was decent for small hotel. WiFi worked well & TV had a couple English movie channels I would stay again. Bed linen clean and comfortable

Room was ok but internet bad won’t work in room and was not told about breakfast even though I had paid for it in adavance and full payment made to hotel which was their duty to tell customers if they forgot so they should refund money half or refund for breakfast paid for n not served to me or told me about it when I met them in morning man n women who run that hotel paying rent to owner of hotel to have breakfast which is free n I paid for so had to go out spend more money n eat out

Staff very kind, room and bed clean... a bit noisy from the street because of many barsssss in this area, but not that much on 3rd floor (+ always have my ear plugs while travelling). The single room I booked was not available, but I had a 6 beds one only for myself. Ok for a short stay... maybe also for city night birds :)

Budget Guesthouse

At the center of everything, right at the dot of night life of backpacker area of Hoan Kiem. Note it is of the lane of Luong Ngoc Quyen with a blinking sign of "Hotel". I had problem looking for this hotel because the website shows the front of Disvovery II Hotel ,25 Hang Mam Street. Anyway the right place to stay, a walking distance for food and beer.

This is a very small budget hotel. It gets the job done if you have a small budget or a very short stay in old quarter. Great location though.

Budget hotel perfect for solo travelers

31/m solo traveler - stayed here 3 nights while i was in Hanoi. Hotel is off a main raid tucked in a little alley. Location was GREAT...restaurants and bars are right outside the doorstep. the room itself was nothing special. i had a bed and a private bathroom, but they were clean and everything worked fine. The owners helped me get laundry done and called a taxi for me to take to the airport. They were super friendly. I would 100% stay here again.

Everything you need

Great stay, perfect location, spacious room, hot water, powerful shower, clean bathroom, nice clean bedding, comfy pillow, bed a bit hard and floor could do with a bit of bleach. Location is few steps away from bia hoi, you are in the centre of the action and its not loud in the room. We slept well. Great guys at the reception.

A great place to stay to explore the old city, cheap price, everything is nice except for no hot water (?) If you stay up late, this would be a perfect choice since very close to Ta Hien - lots of bars working at night.

Really good!

Kinda sketchy when we first found were it was, but the hotel was awesome! The staff were so friendly and accommodating! The air condition only works for certain hours (9pm-9am), but other than that it was great! The breakfast was eggs and toast with juice/coffee/tea so that was an extra bonus! Highly recommend staying here while visiting Hanoi! Also so close to everything!

Time for some TLC!!!

The hotel is perfectly located in the old quarter of Hanoi and short walk from Hoan Kiem lake. The owners are nice. They also offer tours to Halong Bay but there is around 10$ difference from what you can find with travel agents outside. Besides the convenient location though this hotel is in very poor state at the moment and for me it didn't live up to all the nice reviews on TripAdvisor. I have booked the single room which was once painted in white. Now it's just dirty. The whole place actually needs a deep cleaning!!!!! Also a place to at least leave your phone would've been nice. There was no bedside table or something that reminded of one so if you stay in the single room you're obliged to leave all your stuff on the floor. Breakfast is ok and you have a choice between few dishes, but again I had to eat with my hands cause my fork looked like it escaped from the dishwasher earlier... This place could be nice with a coat of fresh paint and some really good cleaning!!! This won't make it a 5* but it will be a more pleasant stay!!!
