These hosts are such fabulous communicators! The ease of dealing with all aspects of booking, planning, and learning the landscape of the area was such a treat.The house is beautiful, welcoming, and peaceful. It is perfect for thoroughly enjoying the people with whom you are vacationing! The beds are crazy comfortable. This place houses everything that you need for a great stay and is in a phenomenal location for doing all the things the area has to offer.We had an atypical stay on an atypical weekend - coldest days in years, likely. My kid and I are all weather people and would have enjoyed the fire pit even in the coldest of winter! The couple of challenges that we faced were dealt with immediately by these hosts. (So grateful!)Looking forward to the chance to stay again! Highly recommend!

Great house and owners. Communication with them is excellent. House is very welcoming and decorated very nicely. Property itself is excellent and location very near downtown Harbor Springs is the best! Located 9 minutes from Boyne Highlands and Nub's. Would definitely stay here again!

Very nicely located home in harbor springs. We had our 1 year old, 2 dogs, and another couple staying here on our trip and it accommodated everyone well. The house was clean, comfortable, and updated. It was super convenient to have things like a high chair and pack & play already at the house. The dogs were also well accommodated with water/food dishes available as well as dedicated dog towels which were great considering we were within walking distance of the dog beach. We typically visit this area annually and would definitely stay here again

Great Location for a Family Trip

We had a great stay at this property in Harbor Springs. It was very well stocked with everything we needed, and the owners were extremely communicative and helpful throughout our visit. The location was perfect—a great base for exploring Mackinaw City, Mackinac Island, Petoskey, and Charlevoix. Highly recommend!

We stayed here for a nearby family event at Boyne Highlands. The house was convenient and extremely comfortable for 5-6 adults! Furnished well with very cute decor. Loved the labeling of various switches and containers :)

Amazing stay, we’ll be back!

This property is sparkling clean with updated finishes, and the owners clearly put a lot of thought into making the house as user-friendly as possible. The location is perfect with easy access to groceries, restaurants, and skiing at Highlands and Nubs Nob. We were happy to be able to bring our small dog with us, thanks for making this a pet friendly property. We can’t wait to come back!

Harbor Springs Haven

Very charming and cozy home located right in the heart of Harbor Springs! We stayed here for a long winter weekend with our 2 little dogs and it was exactly as listed! Spotless and beautifully maintained, with lots of special touches. Planning to return during one of the warmer seasons to enjoy the nice barckyard and walks into downtown!

Thanksgiving weekend

Our second time to stay at Shady Pines. Great location with an easy walk downtown. The house is cozy and has everything you need! We love that our dogs can be with us and appreciate the extra items left for them. Matt and Melissa are very prompt with communication and accommodating. We highly recommend Shady Pines in both summer and winter!

Relaxing Vacation Spot

Our family had a wonderful experience staying at Matt & Melissa's place. We met our kids who have an 8-month-old and they only had to bring her stroller. We were going to bring our dog crate but decided it was too much so we brought the doggy gate instead. When we arrived they had everything for our dog, bowls, gate and crate, and everything for the baby!! So much easier when you don't have to bring everything! The location was great, it was so close to town, that we walked there several times a day. The amenities that were included made it so nice for us! Would recommend this house!

We had an incredible stay at this property. Location was in a nice neighborhood and within walking distance to town. The interior was very well-done and comfortable and we had everything we needed during our stay. It was also a perfect fit for our family and grandchild.
