I had an extremely unpleasant experience at the Scottish Inns & Suites Harrisburg - Hershey North, and Iām beyond disappointed both with the hotel and with Expedia.
First and foremost, I was overcharged. My hotel invoice clearly states I paid $136.78, yet Expedia charged me $170.99. Thatās a difference of over $34 for no justifiable reason. This is unacceptable, and I expect a full refund of the overcharge immediately.
Worse than the billing issue was the condition of the room. When we arrived, the room had a strong, foul odor that made it uncomfortable to even stay inside. The sheets had visible hair in them, which clearly indicates they had not been changed or cleaned. To top it off, there was trash left in the trashcanāagain, a clear sign that housekeeping had not done their job.
This is not just a matter of inconvenience; itās a health and hygiene issue, and the room should never have been rented out in that condition. Itās clear that cleanliness is not a priority at this location.
I booked through Expedia expecting a minimum standard of quality. Instead, I feel like I was scammedāovercharged and placed in a filthy, unsanitary room. I strongly advise others to avoid this property, and I expect Expedia to make this right by issuing a refund.
