The check-in is contactless. It is pretty efficient but it feels strange to enter an empty large house. There is no elevator (which we were made aware of so no surprise here) and the stairs are very wide so it is very easy to move the luggage. Our room had a view on the river, but this was a bit of a stretch statement. You could see the river but if you were standing in the corner of the room!
The room itself was beautiful and tastefully decorated. The only thing to improve was the bathroom fan, which turns on automatically when you enter the bathroom and is so noisy it wakes up everyone in the room.
Breakfast is provided and is an experience. You share a large dining table with other guests. It was kind of fun and a change. But I wasnât impressed with the quality of the breakfast which was fairly basic. I chose poached eggs and they were very runny. The portion felt a bit small as well. This is why I gave it a 4/5 rating. Itâs still a lovely experience
We were in town from NYC for a funeral and looking for a more elevated experience than one we could have easily chosen at a downtown Harrisburg hotel. The property, location, and cleanliness of the Inn are great. Disappointed in the service as we were the only guest in the entire inn for the night. We gel we were a casual inconvenience to the owners who clearly had prioritized golf plans for the day. Breakfast was far from hearty and seemed
This is a beautiful property along the river and great walking trails across the street. The history of the house if very interesting. Food was good and room was warm.
