Travelocity screwed us because I made a mistake when I booked the date which was supposed to be for that night, but I didnât realize it was actually two weeks in the future. Realizing my mistake immediately we tried contacting Travelocity as well as the hotel and were given no recourse and no refund. We do not plan on using Travelocity again and will advise others not to either.
The room was clean and large. The management was stressed and didn't handle it well. What I couldn't get over was no cream for the coffee at breakfast in the name of being a healthy breakfast (insert eye roll). Fortunately there's a starbucks close by.
Definitely one the worst check in experiences I ever been throughâŠI never had a hotel charge me before i arrived to the facility, everything was a mess. I called to have my payment method updated, the hotel told me to contact Expedia. Once I did that Expedia said everything was fine I was all good to go. Iâm traveling all the way from Florida to Virginia for Thanksgiving so I didnât want any problems when I got to the hotel. Once I arrived to the hotel the young lady says I have two rooms under my name and one under my motherâs. I only booked one room and my mom never even booked a room from the beginning even Expedia confirmed. I checked my bank account and they charged my card three times with only a reversal of one payment back.
The assistant manager Thomas who charged my card the first time wasnât around at the hotel to explain what happened the young lady at the counter claimed that he was new, but thatâs no excuse. She even stated that they were too busy to come handle the situation at the hotel, which I donât appreciate so I will never stay at this hotel again and I donât recommend.
The staff were happy and friendly. They actually seemed to be enjoying themselves. The room was spotless. The food was okay but Iâm a pretty picky eater. It would have been nice if there were 4 pillows and mine was too soft. Other than that I was very impressed with this place and their staff.
