Had a wonderful stay at the Old Swan hotel. The staff were friendly, attentive and check in was quick. Breakfast was lovely and replenished frequently Would definitely stay here again.

The room was very small with a single bed that rolled around. It was nice to have a bath tub but I thought I had booked and paid for a double bed and I was put in a very tiny room. Didn’t seem like good value for money.

Room was not fit for human occupation. Terrible damp and mould smells - can still taste that in the back of my throat a week later and we only spent 5 minutes in there before leaving for another hotel. Room looked like it was furnished from a bad charity shop. The most dissappointing thing is that this hotel actually thought it was ok to put people in this room in the first place. We had booked months earlier so they have no excuse. Be very careful with this hotel, because they advertise that the rooms are refurbished, but then they try and put you somewhere that is a total health hazard. Disappointingly, they only refunded just over 50% of the cost (wish we hadn't prepaid). I'm just pleased we got out straight away.

The Old Swan Hotel Harrogate

Nice location in Harrogate and good sized room and bathroom. Could do with new windows and extractor fan in the bathroom. Drinks and meal a bit on the expensive side. + Carpark on site also a bit pricey but a least you're not having to worry about street parking. Overall a good 6 day break.

Disappointing Visit

We have stayed here before and had no issues. This time we had a few problems: the radiators did not work, the bathroom was extremely tight and the sink would not fill; it kept running away. The toilet moved when it was sat on. Additionally the water bottle in the room had already been opened! Very disappointing visit
