A good stay

I was here for a weekend trip visiting old friends. The hotel was directly across the street from a park, very convenient for surrounding restaurants. No frills but enough to become my go to hotel for future visitations.

Overall not horrible, but pick somewhere else

Over priced compared to surrounding hotels for what we got. The beds and pillows were hard, NO soundproofing and the windows were so thin it sounded like they were open. Had to pay for parking in the absolute worst tiny one lane underground parking. Getting into a spot took me 10 minutes with all the maneuvering I had to do to avoid the poles, and getting out isn't much easier since you risk side swiping the same poles

The back side of the hotel by the parking area had a bunch of loud shady people in and out all night that could be heard from your room. It was diffult to sleep.

Nice, clean room with excellent view, hotel is in a good location. Unfortunately the room airconditioner was very noisy, luckily it didn't bother me but it would be troublesome to many customers.

The hotel was overall good the lot for the hotel was full so I had to pay 30$ for a two night stay with air garage also our heater was broken and had nothing to cover the vents and the heat would come on and off but the ac would stay on our tub drain cap was also off so we had to wear water shoes in the shower other than that beer good hotel and quite breakfast good everything was self service and they actually listen to the do not disturb signs!!

The Capitol Hotel Needs a Few Tweaks and Updates

I traveled to Hartford, CT for business and chose this hotel due to the location of my job. While the location was very close to eateries, a few bars, and easily able to order if I chose not to leave; the hotel itself needs an upgrade in both cleanliness and property upgrades. Upon checking in I was greeted by a pleasant gentleman who quickly checked me in with no problems and assigned my room. But the key card system is outdated and finicky. I had to switch it out twice within my 3 day stay. My room was sloppy and it was apparent the tub had not been cleaned as there was hair in the tub and some film on the sink. I had to purchase some cleaner to do it myself but of course I was a little irritated. The next morning I asked housekeeping for a comforter but she said she didn’t understand me so I used my translator app to assist. She then brings me a sheet and I asked again for something heavier as she continued her conversation but she kept saying she didn’t know what I was asking for. I left it alone and thanked her anyway. The end of the workday I came back to my room and it had not been cleaned or touched by housekeeping which was weird because they were cleaning my floor when I asked for the comforter earlier in the day. Upon showering I noticed again my linen had not been changed out. The next morning the front desk was polite, the morning breakfast was lack luster, and the gym was out of order. Check out process was simple and pleasant.
