The room smelled a bit like mildew, and I would have liked more blankets. Parking was expensive for what it was. But overall the space was clean, staff was friendly and we enjoyed the location.

Our room facing the park was clean and comfortable and the King sized bed provided a restful night. The hotel staff was responsive to our request for an additional comforter and the breakfast included with our package had more options than we expected. We would definitely stay at the Capitol Hotel again.

The air conditioner wasn't cleaned, so the air was too stuffy, and the water in the bathtub didn't drain, so I moved to another room, but it wasn't much different there. The breakfast was poor, and it was so noisy that I couldn't sleep well.

The room in general was nice and pretty clean. The bathroom could have been cleaner. The bathmat was very stained and the edges of the floor were gross. The mattress was a little to hard for my liking. Overall it's a decent hotel and I would stay there again.

Husani, the clerk was incredible. I was in line to check in for over 30 mins. Every person who used Expedia had problems. I had a confirmation from Expedia for a double deluxe, Expedia actually made the reservation for a single. The guy behind me had a confirmation for that night, 9/6, on his phone, Expedia made his reservation for 9/20. Other people had confirmation emails that didnt match the hotel's reservations. The first thing Expedia was asking everyone who called was whether they wanted to cancel the scam "confirmed reservation" (NO REFUND) and make a new one at a higher price--- for a room that wasn't even available. The clerk was absolutely awesome and did everything he could to accommodate everyone, even upgrading rooms. He told all of us that this is a chonic problem w/Expedia and they dont tell people there is no refund. Finally, the Expedia customer rep I spoke to said he could do nothing to solve THEIR "mistake" BUT he would have someone able to resolve their problem call me. Its been 25 hrs., no call yet to solve yesterday's problem. The hotel clerk Husani was great, Expedia is running a scam.

I like trains so the proximity to the station was welcome. The parks at the capitol are beautiful but there were a lot of homeless and police. The city needs a better homeless program. The underground parking felt safe but felt like driving in a basement. I heard later guests couldn't get garage parking because it was first come first serve. Unfortunate to have to use a vendor parking. The building is well maintained but is showing it's age. The tub is so dated and the drain didn't lock into place. The locks I used either worked in unusual ways, like turning up, or didn't work at all at the fitness center. I told the desk and they got it open and propped it until it could be fixed. The staff was nice and helpfull.
