Our welcome when we arrived was excellent. Liz was very helpful telling us sbout breakfast etc. Our room no 5 was quite spacious and had a nice view of the hillside of the dale. Breakfast was well cooked and tasty. Glenn was very efficient and knowledgeable about the area and made you feel relaxed with his banter. The en suite was a tad small but we managed ok. Will return and stay with them again at some point if we are visiting the area.
Herriot house is a lovely old stone building in a prime place right in the middle of Hawes village. We were met by the host on arrival...he was informative and friendly .explained everything we needed to know..
The room was lovely .comfortable and clean..tea and coffee were plentyful and homemade cookies and water were also there..the bed was realy comfortable
The water pressure in the shower was great. Everything was lovely .we were left a small flask of cold milk in the morning outside the door and breakfast was perfect ..we had filled in a form as to what we wanted to eat and drink the evening before so it was brought to us as required..a lovely place to stay ..excellent
The room we had was. On the top floor which j found quite a challange as I have breathing trouble . But the room was lovely and clean, bathroom spotless.
Breakfast was excellent and ordering the night before I think is a good call .
Possibly the friendliest welcome we've ever had. Glen is an amazing host, nothing was too much trouble.
Perfectly situated in the middle of Hawes, with gorgeous views from our room, (no 6) over the town and beyond.
Room was clean and comfortable, and the freshly made breakfast was perfect for us.
Would highly recommended staying here.
