Overall experience was fine, The place has a nice atmosphere and was clean and newly renovated, lake Nelson presented some good top water fishing this time of year. The place has two docks, one you're able to dock at, The place is located in a very very shallow Bay. The dock was new and did not have any tie downs or buoys - we brought are own, and was difficult to tie in for the evening. Getting to the dock, I did hit a few things and messed my prop up getting into the place despite trimming up. The landlord was a bit demanding about using water and electricity, as well as complaining about previous tenants which really had nothing to do with us. We brought our own water as the tap water was very smelly, The landlord did warn us about these things The day before we checked in. The bedrooms are set up with one having a queen bed and the other having a full bed and two bunk beds, which is tight for three people in one small bedroom, and the bunk beds are weirdly set up away from the wall and the top bunk being very close to the ceiling which gave one of my friends problems the whole weekend, probably fine for kids. I'd say this place would be better for two to three people instead of four for sure. Nelson is a great lake for lg bass and Pike but don't come here for walleyes. There is a bait shop close by called minnow Jim's which is very convenient. They have kayaks available but you have to pay an extra rental fee which I believe should be included when staying here. This place was rented out at a decent price compared to others and I think you get what you pay for, for the most part.
