Don’t scroll past this cabin, it is awesome. The cabin is clean and decorated beautifully. Location is great and the lake is beyond gorgeous. It is located next to Powell’s restaurant, so you don’t have to cook if you do not want to. The only downside is that it is not on lake front and it is a good block walk to the dock.

This cabin is so warm and inviting. The owners are so accomadating and are fast to answer any questions you may have. Everything is stocked for you as you arrive. The cabin is spotless. My family stayed here in the past and we are never disappointed and we will be staying again. Thank you for another great week!!

Gem in the Woods

This cabin was the perfect space for our family of 4 plus grandparents. The grandparents had a bedroom with bathroom and the other two bedrooms are attached through the second washroom - so excellent for the family with kids. Beds were comfortable and the cabin was cozy. We ended up utilizing both the AC and heat during a July cold front (plus gas fireplace!) and it all kept the cabin very comfortable. Don't let the restaurant on premises scare you off from renting this property - it's quiet and respectful of renters nearby and closes at 9:30, so no late night noise. It was totally fine and I was a bit concerned at first. Yes, you have to walk across the parking lot to the dock but once there the pontoon was lovely, clean, and easy to operate. I contacted the host twice during our stay and they were wonderful. We would not hesitate to rent this cabin again. In fact, everyone is asking about next summer already. Thanks Schmidt Family :)

Great Place!

Greatly enjoyed sitting around the fire after our days out on the water. The pontoon ran great and was the perfect size to maneuver in and out of the resort. Such a fun lake to spend the day. The cabin was very well stocked and had a ton of character. A lot of thought went into the decor. All-and-all a fantastic week!

Winter weekend getaway

We stayed at this cozy cabin while we were on Round Lake celebrating my mother in laws 90th bday. We had 6 adults and we had plenty of space. The Cabin was updated with great appliances and a rustic charm. There was a gas fireplace which helped make everything cozy. The beds were all very comfortable and the bathrooms were updated nicely. I would highly recommend this property!

Beautiful!

I can’t say enough about what a beautiful place this was to stay for a weekend! Definitely more than 2 people needed but we enjoyed the fall weekend in style! Loved the fireplace, the comfort of the living area and all the special personal touches throughout the cabin. I’ve shared pictures with my family and we are hoping to visit again. The location was great for the mountain bike trails and the reason site was great! We had a spectacular weekend!

My family loved the cabin. It was ridiculously clean and it was decorating impeccably. The kitchen is large enough where if you wanted tobwork alone or needed assistance you wouldn't feel cramped. The bedrooms were a nice size and the beds were all very comfortable

Very Nice Stay

We enjoyed our visit. The property had everything we needed, including a pontoon. It is on a bay but not far from the big part of the lake. This unit is adjacent to Powell's Bar/Restaurant which is convenient. The only downside is that the view from this cabin looks at Powell's parking lot. Still, it is a very short distance to the lake and pontoon. The area has some very good places to eat.

It was such a great 2 weeks

The property is extremely well maintained exterior and interior. The kitchen was stocked with everything. There is plenty of counter space to prep your meals. The furniture in the living room is so comfortable. The decor around the cabin is perfect. The owners were always accommodating and communication is very easy. Don't hesitate to stay at this lovely cabin. acomfortable.

Great Fishing Week!

We spent our annual family fishing week at Jean's house in Hayward and we had a fantastic time! The home is well appointed and really gives you a cozy Northwoods feel. The only downside is that, as Jean had told me, the property is a bit away from the water - while it's an easy walk with fishing gear, wanting to check boats etc. it did become a bit of an annoyance. The short walk aside the home itself was perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed our time! Thanks for sharing your piece of Hayward with us!!

Labor Day Lake Days

We've stayed at the Grand Pines resort properties in the past and this cabin was actually the office in the past. In fact we did have one couple briefly pop in missing the sign indicating this was a private cabin, Although the cabin was as billed, it wasn't as nice as others we've stayed at. Darker without vaulted ceiling and lake facing windows. View was parking lot rather than lake/dock. We made the most of it and Jean was a great and responsive hostess.

Perfect cabin for a quiet stay with family

This gorgeous cabin was perfect for our family of 5. More than enough room for everyone to be comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The living areas were spacious and very comfortable. The cabin is set back from the water ( you can see the water, but Powels restaurant is between the cabin and the lake) but on the plus side it is very quiet and peaceful and offered much more privacy than the other cabins on the grounds. It was just a short walk down to the pier where the well kept pontoon boat was waiting for us. The lake is beautiful and the fishing was great! Thanks for the great stay!

Really enjoyed our stay!

We found the cabin to be very inviting and comfortable. The decor, fireplace, leather furniture and large dining table were perfect for a family getaway with an “up north” feel. Having Powells (Restaurant and bar) so close was convenient, and had an amazing walleye friday fish fry. Only downside was we thought the cabin was on Round Lake with a view of the water. The view out the front door is a parking lot and back of the restaurant, we didn’t understand that when we booked.

Wonderful!

This property was spotless. Great bathrooms/showers, new appliances, and a lovely gathering space for meals and relaxing. The fireplace made it very cozy. The only thing missing was a shovel - it snowed heavily and it would have been handy.
