Everyone was really helpful. A little tired in public areas would be only issue. We had a problem regulating the temperature in the shower, but they allowed us to use another unoccupied room to have our showers. Breakfast was great quality and taste.

I have been staying at the Birch Hotel for years. It’s comfortable and clean but what I like is it has character not like a typical plastic hotel! Staff always give a warm welcome and helpful with special requests. Bar food is ok a little on the pricey side (maybe normal though these days) and basic but something for everyone. As it is close to the town centre I expect a lot of guests generate towards the high street restaurants so no need for a more comprehensive menu. A nice place to wind down after a days work ( in my case).

Good range of tea/coffee in the room, comfy bed, and easy to use air conditioning in the room. Walking distance to a small town centre with lots of food options, and literally next door to a petrol station if you just wanted a snack. Would definitely stay again.
