Our apartment, "Bel Étage," is located on the first floor of the house and was originally intended as a residence for the "lords and ladies." The ceilings are over 3 meters high, and the original Baroque stucco ceilings have been meticulously restored.
The apartment has two large living/bedrooms. Each features a large double bed (180x200cm), two comfortable armchairs, a desk, a TV, and a wardrobe. There's also a fully equipped kitchen, a lovely dining area, a bathroom with a walk-in shower and rainforest showerhead, and a small room with a washing machine and dryer.

The house is connected to the district heating system, combining historic walls with 21st-century conveniences. The apartment is heated by underfloor heating. High-speed internet, towels, bed linen, and tea towels are included in the rent. A small selection of coffee cups (Tassimo) is provided for your convenience.
An important note: The apartment is on the first floor and you will have to climb stairs; the building has no elevator.
One Bus stop is only a 3-minute walk away.

The The history of the house, which houses 4 holiday apartments, dates back to 15th century. At that time, the castle’s forestry office was located here The house is located in the heart of the old town, close to the Holy Spirit Church, the town hall and market square and on the outer edge of the pedestrian area. It offers all the advantages of the city center with regard to Tourist destinations, restaurants and other activities. Since the apartment is located in a quiet side street, it is wonderfully quiet.

Perfect spot!

The host was amazing and responded quickly to emails and questions. The apartment had everything we needed and the location was perfect. It was so close to where our son was staying as he studied abroad and steps from the beautiful Christmas Markets and old town area. The only down fall was that people would walk down the street at random times and it was loud but the apartment was amazing and we would stay there again!

Great experience

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The apartment is very clean and well stocked. The location is perfect for visiting historic Heidelberg, well within walking distance of all the main sites. Martina communicated with by email and sent clear instructions on how to enter the apartment upon arrival. She also followed up with us after we arrived to ensure everything was to our liking. We highly recommend Heidelberg House!

Heidelberg Reunion

Bel Etage exceeded our expectations! It is lovely and well-appointed. We were in Heidelberg to celebrate the 40th Reunion of a college-program we were faculty for in 1984-85 through Pepperdine University. Bel Etage was conveniently located near Holy Ghost Church and just steps from the Funicular which offers easy access to the Castle and Konigstuhl. Martina was easy to communicate with. Check-in was easy. We look forward to staying again someday soon.

Great location

Recently had a fabulous trip to Heidelberg. This apartment is very conveniently situated in the heart of the old town and is only a few steps away from many bars and restaurants. The apartment has everthing you would need with a fully stocked kitchen and a great shower. Only downside is, as others have mentioned, is the steep steps to access the apartment but it's only one flight.

Fantastic Location

Fantastic location right in old town yet just off the main street so it's quiet. If you go during Christmas market season you have many lively markets to chose from very nearby. Lots of shops, restaurants and bars just steps away as well as a grocery store. The funicular to visit the famous castle is very close by as are 2 parking garages . The apartment was clean and modern with fresh furniture. The bedrooms each were very large with high ceilings with a sitting area and a desk with a large screen tv. The steps may be steep to anyone elderly but was no issue for us. Also just to let one know the only common area to really hang out in is at the small kitchen table. The owners were professional in all of our interactions.

Heidelberg heaven

We absolutely loved our stay in Heidelberg. Martina has thought of every need. Our son and daughter in law joined us with our seven month old baby. Martina had a crib and high chair for us. It was clean and comfortable. Our flat was centrally located in the heart of the historic district and within walking distance of everything. Restaurants, bakeries, historical sights, street markets, coffee shops are all very close to you. It is tucked away on a small private street and is quiet. Thank you Martina for allowing us to have a lovely vacation.

Top Unterkunft

Die Wohnung ist super zentral und prima ausgestattet, die Betten sind sehr bequem. Es ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in die Altstadt und Umgebung, viele Cafes und Restaurants sind fussläufig gut zu erreichen. Zum Neckar sind es ebenfalls nur ein paar Minuten. Der Hauptbahnhof ist mir dem Bus gut zu erreichen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
