Willkommen im Schoolhouse Cottage! Hier genießen Sie Ruhe, Entspannung und Einsamkeit in den Mauern eines wunderschön restaurierten Zwei-Zimmer-Schulhauses aus dem Jahr 1848. Während Ihres Aufenthalts werden Sie von historischen Artefakten umgeben sein und alle Annehmlichkeiten moderner Annehmlichkeiten genießen. Nur zehn Minuten vom Dahlonega-Platz entfernt und doch in einem kleinen Wäldchen versteckt, ist das Schoolhouse ein privater Rückzugsort, an dem Sie immer in der Nähe von allem sind.

Das "Schulhaus" befindet sich in den Ausläufern der Appalachen, nur wenige Minuten von der Stadt Dahlonega und einer Vielzahl von Sehenswürdigkeiten in Nordgeorgien entfernt. Perfekt für diejenigen, die einen ruhigen Ort zum Aussteigen aus der Stadt suchen, Naturliebhaber, Weinliebhaber, Schriftsteller und Menschen, die die reiche Geschichte der Region erkunden möchten.

Das Hauptschlafzimmer (Teil des ursprünglichen Schulhauses) verfügt über ein Queensize-Bett, ein Bad mit Dusche und eine private, überdachte Veranda, die durch eine Tür zugänglich ist, die einst der Eingang zum ursprünglichen Schulgebäude war.

Das zweite Schlafzimmer verfügt über ein großes Bett mit Vintage-Federkern. Es hat auch ein großes Bad mit Wanne / Dusche.

Das Wohnzimmer ist auch Teil des ursprünglichen Schulhauses und verfügt über ein Sofa, das heruntergeklappt werden kann und einen Erwachsenen schlafen kann, der nicht größer als 6 'ist. Bettzeug und Kissen sind vorhanden.

Absolutely Wonderful Schoolhouse Cottage

Having family history in the Dahlonega area, the Schoolhouse Cottage was the perfect choice for us. Callie's attention to detail and her respect of history are such a part of the cottage from the beautiful decor to the books documenting the history of education as well as life in the mountains. I found pictures of my father as a young teacher in her book on schoolhouses and pictures of my grandfather as a long-time educator. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and the Schoolhouse is our top choice when we return to Dahlonega.

Wonderful, peaceful stay

Callie was a wonderful host, and the property was gorgeous and neat as a pin. The porches are so relaxing, and the location was secluded yet convenient. We traveled for our son’s graduation from UNG, and our stay made it an even more fabulous trip. We’d give 10 stars if we could.

wow! wow! wow!

the schoolhouse from 1848 is WONDERFUL. beautifully loved and redone. the owner has put so much thought into her place, so many special touches. anything extra you might need, it’s here. hubby and I started joking that if it wasn’t provided we must not need it (really rare). we hope to return to dahlonega and we sure want to stay here.

Great place!

This was a girls trip, just two of us. My friend always wanted to stay here, finally got the opportunity to… and it was great! The only negative comment that we can give is, if you stay in the front bedroom, be prepared for a 6 AM wake up with the garbage truck (Friday morning for us)….not good! Such a sweet retreat, thank you!

This was our annual mother/daughter trip. The personal touches throughout the school house were perfect. One of the cleanest places I have ever stayed. Enjoyed the schoolhouse and all of its amenities. Callie is very detail oriented, which we enjoyed!! The house was very clean considering you can have your dogs. Oh My Gosh - Incredible!

We could not have loved our stay more at this little, adorable, magical converted school house. The home was absolutely lovely and immaculate. The absolute cutest and most comfortable place

This place is easily one of the best vacation homes I've ever stayed in. It is absolutely adorable and you can tell the minute you walk in that the owners love it. The kitchen is so well stocked. It was spotless. Communication was great. It's private and has a serene peaceful feeling. We spent a lot of time on the back porch watching the hummingbirds and deer. It's close to several vineyards, Cleveland, and downtown Dahlonega. I can't imagine staying anywhere else when I need a getaway weekend.

Wanted to stay longer

The renovated schoolhouse was perfect! Very private and beautiful surroundings. Cleanest place I’ve ever stayed in. The owner thought of so many special things to make our stay enjoyable. My stay at the old school cottage

First off I’d like to say, with this being a renovated old-school house it is truly immaculate; it has everything you need and more. If you don’t stay here and feel like you’re in a classroom with a huge library of reading material all around you then this place is not for you. There is reading material for all ages. There are areas all around the place to cuddle up with one of the many blankets they provide and a good book. I think the best part of my stay was the large back porch off the living room. I would sit there every evening and just listen to the peaceful sounds and the occasional ruffle of the leaves and wonder what furry friend is out there joining me. I saw the occasional deer stroll by and a possum foraging through the leaves looking for a treat. My daughter and her old pup joined me for the first few nights and then the rest of the week I was in total solitude. If you ever want a place to just get away for “me time“ this is the place to stay. Though, this is also a place for family time. There’s a wonderful well lit outdoor area with a fire pit and seating. There is also ample area for playing outdoor games. I can’t forget to mention the wonderful town of Dahlonega and all it has to offer. There are loads of wineries all around to visit and the beautiful Mountain views are breathtaking. This is definitely a place I will return when visiting Dahlonega. Thank you for having us. Linda L.

Wonderful Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the schoolhouse. The property was clean and charmingly remodeled. The cabin was well stocked/furnished and secluded enough to feel disconnected on vacation, but about 15 min easy drives from downtown Dahlonega and surrounding vinyards/restaurants. Retreat Continued; Part 2

My friend and I spent 4 days in Dillard and wanted to extend our time at the Schoolhouse. We had already stayed there during Covid and each time, the schoolhouse does not disappoint. Great Getaway

The schoolhouse is very well stocked and organized. We liked that we could stay in and cook or take a twenty minute drive to a restaurant. (The house is private but not secluded.) There was plenty of wildlife to observe from the decks while sipping morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. Also, the mountain scenery at nearby vineyards is lovely!
