Ein echtes Blockhaus-Erlebnis

Die Moody-Familie, nach der Moody Hollow benannt ist, hat Adanayla Anfang bis Mitte 1950 gebaut. Wir lieben die Geschichte und die natĂŒrlichen Ressourcen der sĂŒdlichen Appalachen und diese Liebe spiegelt sich in der Einrichtung der HĂŒtte wider. Viele der AntiquitĂ€ten in der HĂŒtte stammen aus dem 19. Jahrhundert und stammen aus den Appalachengebieten von Tennessee, Georgia und North Carolina. WĂ€hrend die Kabine ĂŒber ein halbes Jahrhundert alt sein kann, sind alle GerĂ€te, Klempnerarbeiten und ElektrogerĂ€te neu. Wir freuen uns jetzt, diesen magischen Ort mit anderen teilen zu können. Adanayla ist eine haustierfreundliche HĂŒtte. Wenn Sie Ihren Hund mitbringen, wird eine einmalige GebĂŒhr pro Haustier erhoben.

Ein Schlafzimmer, der Fernseher (nur Filme) und Waschmaschine / Trockner befinden sich alle im Erdgeschoss. Bitte denken Sie daran, dass es in dieser Kabine keinen WLAN- oder Satellitenservice gibt. Seien Sie bereit, den Stecker zu ziehen und sich zu entspannen! Der Zugang zum Erdgeschoss erfolgt ĂŒber die abgeschirmte Veranda und die Außentreppe. Nehmen Sie unbedingt den SchlĂŒssel mit!

Interessante Fakten Die HĂŒtte befindet sich ĂŒber 2000 Fuß ĂŒber dem Meeresspiegel, aber nur die Straße hinauf ist der höchste Punkt in Georgia, Brasstown Bald, der auf 4.784 Fuß ansteigt! High Shoals Creek, der durch Moody Hollow fließt, war eine Quelle fĂŒr den Zuchtbestand der einheimischen Bachforelle.

Machen Sie einen Spaziergang die Straße entlang bis zum letzten Tor. Sie kommen zu einem kleinen privaten Pfadkopf. Wenn Sie diesem Pfad folgen, gelangen Sie zu den wunderschönen Upper und Lower High Shoals Falls und einem AuslĂ€ufer des Appalachian Trail. Die WasserfĂ€lle sind nur 15 Gehminuten von der HĂŒtte entfernt!

Moody Hollow liegt eingebettet im Chattahoochee National Forest, der sich ĂŒber 750.000 Morgen erstreckt! Die zahlreichen BĂ€che und BĂ€che in der NĂ€he beherbergen einige der besten Forellenfischer in Georgien sowie eine der meisten Salamanderarten der Welt.

Location

Davis cabin is in a great location. It’s off the beaten path but 20 mins from downtown Helen! It’s a private location. The cabin had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The only complaint I have is that the only TV is downstairs. We enjoyed our stay.

Very, very old

This rental needs a lot of work. It was really clean inside but the outside deck is awful and the outside windows and screens need desperately to be cleaned. We had a hard time getting past the odor and I guess what is just mold and age. The location is great and we loved the creek running close by. Probably won't stay here again. WAY OVER PRICED for the rental quality.

We brought our dog with us and he seemed to enjoy himself as well. You can hear the creek running from the screened in back porch and it's very calming. Beds were comfortable and we found everything we needed while there. If you have old enough children, they can have the downstairs to themselves and you can still check on them from the upstairs hallway where there is a grate in the floor to communicate, our kids loved having their own space! Would definitely stay at this cabin again! Georgia Mountain Rentals is the ONLY company we will book with, they truly treat their guests like family and it doesn't go unnoticed.

Great stay, but...one significant complaint with the bill

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Adanayla cabin was great. But...I stayed for three nights and almost 40% of the total cost was all overhead & additional fees. So, the cabin ended up being much more expensive. I left the cabin in immaculate condition & I don't feel like I should have been charged $144 for cleaning fees. I ended up doing the dishes, stripping all the sheets, etc. I'm not sure what the cleaning lady did, but it certainly wasn't $144 worth of work. I probably will not rent a property from GMR again just because all of the additional fees & unnecessary charges. Cleaning fees should only be charged for extended stays &/or if the cabin actually needs cleaning after the stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very nice. Attentive management gave accurate directions, and made sure we had everything we needed before and after arrival. Quiet, cozy place with quality cookware and comfortable beds. Nice short hikes to waterfalls. Note: It was cold when we arrived and takes a while to heat the place up, but seems to hold the heat well once warmed. Shampoo is not included and stores are a few miles away so be sure to stop for groceries, etc before arrival.

Oktoberfest experience

We stayed in the house just to sleep after a long day of touring Helen and wineries. It was as hard to find the location where address says, we end up asking neighbors where it’s at . The cabin was quiet but due to age , it had musty odor. The basement room was not too secure for everyone as it’s totally separated and requires key to get upstairs. Overall the weekend stay was ok .

Nice place and great location for outdoor activities

Overall, my group and I had a good time at this cabin. The cabin was supplied with everything you need and was clean. It's also in a great location for outdoor enthusiasts. The neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors are spread out. One of the better waterfalls in Georgia is also a close walk from the cabin. The only downsides were there's really no yard and the downstairs bedroom/tv room is a little claustrophobic. Kids may get a little bored, so just bring tablets/books/games for them. The gas fireplace wasn't working and maintenance responded quickly to try to fix it, but were unable to. Cell service is very limited in the area, however the cabin has wifi. If you don't mind a slight rustic feel to your accommodations, then you'll enjoy this cabin like we did.
