This was the perfect location for a reunion with another family. Great for kids and our dog alike. We all got to swim off the dock, enjoy the decks, and had plenty of space for sleeping. A few highlights were the large windows off the living area which allowed us to stay inside but also have a great view! There was also a little “beach” are perfect for our young kids! We will be back!

Quiet cove on the lake

Wonderful peaceful week with swimming,fishing and reading on the deck. Children loved the dock and multiple life vests to make everyone safe. Beds are comfortable with great linens and towels. Nice welcome treats provided. And during the rain the TV was great and used some of the dvds Great week!

Quiet, relaxing, family friendly

We enjoyed our stay very much! Family friendly quiet lake front home. Our kids enjoyed fishing, kayaking, and swimming in the lake. Owners are very nice and responsive! This is our second stay and will definitely look at staying again!

Place to stay on Lake Hickory

We had a wonderful time. I highly recommend this lake house and the hosts are the best. We have stayed in both of their lake houses and they are both so welcoming, decorated so nice and clean.

Lake Time

My family & I enjoyed staying at Heavenly Harbor. We were visiting family in the Lenoir & Hickory area. Travis & Leesa are wonderful hosts/owners. The kitchen was well stocked with a great assortment of utensils, plates, cups, etc. The solar lights on the decks make it enjoyable to be outside or inside overlooking the lake. The kids loved swimming & fishing off the dock. All around great place. It was close enough to everything to have pizza delivered & Walmart deliveries, so we didn’t have to go shopping. Overall a great place to spend our summer vacation.

Relaxing, Peaceful, Fun in the Sun Getaway at the Lake!

We LOVED this house and the lake! We loved that it was on the water and it was easy access into the water that it came with a dock so, it was easy to dock our 2 jet skiis and the boat launch was 7 minutes away from the house. It felt very peaceful and relaxing on the dock. We never left the dock all day on our first day there. We were grateful that the weather was beautiful and sunny all weekend (mid 70s) and the nights were in the low 60s throughout our stay here. It was nice to escape out of Ohio for a couple of days. The kitchen in the house was beautiful and we LOVED the counter space. It was easy to cook our meals and how you can fit 7 people (that’s how many there were of us that stayed) in the kitchen. We never felt crowded in this house. The living room was very cozy and the bedrooms were very roomy. We also enjoyed being outside on the balcony everyday that you can go out of from the 2 bedrooms and the view from the lake was breathtaking to wake up to every morning. As we entered this house and smelled the lake air from outside on the back deck we already felt at peace and relaxed as we are a family from the suburbs outside the city in Ohio of hustle and bustle and always hearing sirens all day long. When we were outside, all we heard was boats and jet skiis all day long and we said to each other that this is PERFECT.

Peaceful Christmas on the lake!

We enjoyed spending the week of Christmas at Heavenly Harbor and we didn’t regret our choice! Everything was as listed but even better in person. The owners were so helpful & responsive before and during our stay and we also appreciated the house being decorated for Christmas and the many personal touches left for us when we arrived. We fished the lake and caught a few spotted bass and enjoyed the cozy fireplace inside to warm up. Would definitely stay here again! Thanks for sharing your beautiful lake house!

Perfect Retreat

We love Lake Hickory and love staying at properties owned by Travis & Lesa Roffler. The properties are always well equipped, super clean, and have comfortable beds. They are also super responsive to questions and concerns.

Perfect home for our family

We had the most amazing time at the Lake House. It was clean, a perfect size for our teens to have their own space, the hosts where fast to communicate with me if I asked any questions and the outside decks and lake where beautiful! It was the best vacation we have had in a long time and would definitely come back.

Short stay but great time !

First time renting lake house. Wanted some quality family time together with nice setting and something to do together. Got all we wanted with this house, it's owners and available options to enjoy life's pleasures. Spent day on lake with pontoon rental (highly recommended from Lakeside Marina). Hiked at Rocky Face Mountain park and visited Shadow Line Vineyards.

Labor Day Staycation

This VRBO experience was hands down the best one ever! The house itself is beautiful! You can tell there has been so much thought and love put into this home! The owners are so helpful and accommodating. I love how they allow you to have additional guest during the day. This was truly one of my family’s favorite trips we’ve ever taken. Our kids (12 and 17) didn’t want to leave! With the property only 30 minutes from our home, I know we’ll be booking again! Thank you again for sharing your beautiful lake home with us ❀

Definitely Coming Back

This was a great house with great owners. They communicated with us about the property and gave recommendations for the area. The property was clean and spacious and had everything we needed to enjoy time on the lake. Located in a quiet cove, we fished and floated to our heart's content. We rented a boat from a Lakeside Marina twice and enjoyed time out on the lake. We ventured into town for dinner and had dinner lakeside one night. We have already planned our return trip and can't wait to visit Lake Hickory again.

We Are Now A Lake Family

Heavenly Harbor is, to put it mildly, Totally Awesome. Our family has vacationed at the ocean for the last 20 years, but now that we are dispersed across VA, NC and TN, we decided to try something more central to us all. Somehow we fell upon Travis and Lesa's beautiful lake house. After the week, we are now a Lake Family! The house had everything we needed. Obviously, we packed way too much and brought a lot of our "beach stuff". We didn't need any of it. The kitchen was big and allow all of us all to be in there making our lunches. The family room seated 6 (plus 2 dogs) and the huge lake view window just made it feel huge. The TV allowed us to login to all of our streaming apps which made our millennials happy. Each bedroom was perfectly appointed and even though we didn't really use it, the basement bunk room is perfect for kids. But the real gem is the deck/dock the leads to the most relaxing place I've been in many years. The huge oak that shades most of the deck area makes this place just too perfect. The floating dock allowed us easy access the deep water where we just sat in our floating chairs for hours enjoying family and making memories. Although we still love the beach, we are already planning to come back next year. It was just too perfect. Don't miss out on this gem... just don't take our week.

Beautiful Lake Hickory Vacation

This house is even more beautiful in person! Gorgeous lake views from every window. The hosts are amazing! My family had such a wonderful time - best part was doing cannonballs into Lake Hickory right from the dock!

Lake House

Great location with nice views. Nice house, just wish the listing would have mentioned the all of the stairs. A member of our family has a mobility problem so the need to go down a flight of stairs to get into the house was a surprise. Based on the pictures it looked like the driveway went to the front door. We saw it was a common situation in the area, I don't think it was being hidden, but I think that listing in general should state if there are accessible issues.
