The accommodation is pleasant & well thought out with everything that you may need provided. The management is really friendly and accommodating, I would definitely stay again.
From the word go this place was amazing from both outside and in. A big shout out to the lovely gentlemen who checked me in after a kind hearted stranger helped me with my baggage due to extreme pain and mobility issues. Check in was speedy, efficient and I was very happy with the hospitality during check in. The room was comfortable, warm and inviting. Easy to get to via the local bus. Very highly recommended. đ
Can't really class this as a hotel, obviously an ex care home, comfy and clean, a bed for the night, you have to drive or get a taxi into town centre. having said that if all you want is a place to lay your head it's cheap.
When we arrived in High Wycombe, we passed a lovely house with beautiful wisteria blooming all along the sidewalk. We parked, then walked to a pub at the end of the street. After a fun meal in the open air, we left the pub searching for the Malvern House. We were delighted to discover that the wisteria house was indeed our destination.
The gentleman who greeted us was very kind and welcoming. Our ground floor room was just right. We stayed two nights, and revised the pub down the street. All told, we truly enjoyed our stay and would stay at the Malvern House if we ever find ourselves near High Wycombe again.
Adequate for what I needed , very tidy just lacking a bedside lamp because Iâm not a young person and had to get out of bed to switch off the light and to feel my way in the dark back to the bed , but everything else was acceptable .
The room was a disgrace. Although the bed sheets were clean the room was disgusting. I wonât go through it all but we paid before we saw the room and after having a nice meal at a pub along the road we returned to the room, collected our luggage and left. We were not willing to stay there. Lesson learnt. Do not book this place
Lovely and helpful staff but overall dismal and frustrating stay. Wi-Fi not working, heating not working and shower gauge broken! Had a cold shower and given a small portable heater to get through the night :(
Guests in other rooms up all night from 9pm to 6am when I had to leave for work! Smoking Canabis in the rooms not giving a care in the world, in and out all night nonstop banging doors ! Not a manager in sight! Will never stay again!
No breakfast available despite a view of the dining room set up for breakfast being shown.
Not much help with finding suitable places for breakfast or dinner.
No bedside lights.
Thin curtains allowing a lot of light in early in the morning.
No surprise given the price, but wonât stay again
Nothing specifically wrong, but very tired and old room and very basic - although for the price, that was expected. I was there during a heat wave and the room was unbearably hot and no fan provided.
Never stayed in a property like it. It was a Hovel. Pot smoker on entrance. Stains on carpet, walls need a lick of paint. Bathroom soap dish rusty. Really tired and in need of a lot of TLC. Party in next room going on till 03.30 with doors banging and a lot of shouting kept us up all night. Had the nerve to charge extra for pets.
The bed too small and springy, it goes inside when you sleep on it. The room stinky and smelling. Bathroom too dirty. The entrance is never locked which means anyone can walk into the property at will. No security.
Overall poor. An acceptable option if you need a room with the bare minimum of facilities, but overpriced in that regard. No breakfast included or even an option; had to specifically request drinking water; room not ready on arrival, nor serviced during a two night stay; hard to communicate with staff given basic English level, albeit polite.
