Adirondack Cottage: Designer Artists Studio, Walk To Town, Pet Friendly

Ancien atelier d'artiste, l'Adirondack Cottage est inondĂ© de lumiĂšre naturelle et d'intimitĂ© dans les arbres. Rendu confortable par ses amĂ©nagements d'origine tels que le parement en bardeau de cĂšdre et les fenĂȘtres anciennes, il a Ă©tĂ© entiĂšrement rĂ©novĂ© en 2016. C'est suintant de charme. Avons-nous mentionnĂ© une demi-mile Ă  pied de Main St?

La cour est bordée d'érables, de pruches et de vieux rhododendrons. Marchez jusqu'au lac Harris pour faire du patin à glace en hiver ou attraper et relùcher en été. Marchez jusqu'au coucher du soleil sur un rocher ou un appartement, à 800 mÚtres de la ville.

Je vais envoyer des suggestions pour mes activités préférées à faire dans la région -
cela permet à mes invités de se sentir comme un propriétaire et de voir plus de Highlands que la rue principale. J'ai également une liste de baby-sitters et d'animaux de compagnie que je peux envoyer lors de la réservation.

Les clients ont accÚs à l'unité de 2 chambres et au stationnement hors rue pour 2 voitures confortablement. Le chalet dispose de 2 terrasses extérieures confortables pour se prélasser, 2 chambres avec toute la literie en mousse à mémoire, une cuisine de chef bien approvisionnée et une salle de bains récemment rénovée avec douche à l'ardoise.

Beautiful retreat

We really enjoyed our stay. The property is beautiful and as advertised. Quaint small space for a couple or family or four. Kitchen is well appointed. There were tons on blankets and books everywhere!

Great location and gorgeous interiors

Our first visit to Highlands, my husband, little dog and I picked the cottage for the fantastic location - walking distance to town on relatively flat roads. It did not disappoint. From the exterior the cottage looks charming and rustic, but the interiors are stunning and of superior quality!!! Gorgeous architecture, high end finishes, comfortable beds, great linens, you name it....Even better than the photos! Kristy, the property manager was responsive and helpful. We'd definitely book this place again!

Artist's Studio with a few kinks....

This small scale home has dramatic upward flourishes (a tower with glass over the living room) and lovely fresh design, which is what attracted me to it. But this is a good cover to some serious maintenance issues. The heat is forced air and the dehumidifier (masking what?) which must be left on (but makes noise) creates a drying atmosphere which can attack even healthy sinuses. The hot water was sporadic, one minute very hot, next minute ice cold. We were grateful that the owner sent a plumber when we complained of our cold showers, but on New Year's Eve, with parts on order, there was no easy fix. Owners gave us half off after suggesting we find another venue, but for 70 year olds who had unpacked and a busy week in Highlands, that just didn't seem viable. So, we toughed it out. We "managed" our showers, one minute, soap up, another minute to rinse. If I had just been hiking, fine, but we had plans for our wedding anniversary and New Years and restaurant reservations every night. Hot water needs to be addressed at this venue and perhaps a different shower control. We brought our own duvets so the bedroom was the place to be cozy, because with all the "upward flourishes" the heat is uneven in the living area. Plus side this cabin is well decorated and cozy with a fine kitchen. Downside, maintenance is not hands on with the basic requirements of a home (hot water and heat) not given the attention needed.

Cozy Retreat in the Woods

Adirondack Cottage was so comfortable and beautifully designed with a well stocked kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. Was just the quiet, relaxing place we needed for a few day retreat and would definitely come back again.

Unlike a lot of VRBO’s there was nothing missing here . Everything was as described and it was perfect . Would absolutely rent again. Location is key here because you can have a very easy walk to town .

Charming Cottage Minutes from Town

Our family stayed in this charming cottage for a quick weekend trip following pick up from summer camp in Black Mountain. The cottage is wonderfully appointed and charming both inside and out. It’s nestled in the trees with a small porch and Adirondack chairs perfect for reading. The property manger was very responsive and highly accommodating. Upon check in, we were provided a wonderful guide via email with great recommendations on where to eat, play, hike, swim and shop. The recommendations allowed us to see some great hikes and water falls
. Watering holes, too. We are great full for the opportunity to visit this precious home. We love Highlands and will continue to visit.

Charming, Cozy Cottage/Tree House

We really enjoyed our stay in the “treetops!” The pictures do not do justice to how warm and inviting the space is. The location is perfect. We enjoyed morning walks for coffee at the Mountain Grocery and the peace of being just far enough away from Main St. We would definitely return on our next trip to Highlands!

Nature Paradise

The Adirondack Cottage was conveniently located to Highlands restaurants and shops, specifically walking distance. Nature attractions, including hikes and waterfalls are very close by car. The cottage itself is optimally designed, maximizing its space. We only used the master bedroom which was very comfortable and has a door leading to a small patio with a bench isolated by trees and bushes. The bathroom has everything you need and the shower is incredible! The living area is small but comfortable with a couch and chair. The kitchen is lovely and includes every appliance and tool you need to prepare meals. The interior design is excellent, with some serious and whimsical art. Kristy is a diligent professional . She was proactive with procedures and immediately reactive to my questions. My wife and I loved this cottage and I highly recommend staying at the Adirondack Cottage if in the Highlands.
