The cabin/cottage has a nice feel to it--not overly modern, but a bit old fashion (in good way) with knotty pine through out the house. The outside deck with high view of lake were excellent. There are two docks near the water--one in the sun and other continuely in the shade. We kept going back and forth between the two, depending if we wanted shade of not. The lake is about 60 acres giving it an intimate feel. We love swimming-- so very manageable to swim across to the community beach. The best part is that the lake access is very good, no large rocks to hop over, and no muck to get through. We were 3 generations: grandparents, daughters, and granddaughter (teenagers) and used all the boats for kayaking, canoeing and fishing. Library has lots of games, which we played. We had a blast interacting with family. The guest book notes loons earlier in the year, though during out week there we saw/heard none. Don't miss the old stone bridges. Set GPS for Gleason Falls and you'll come to them.
