Only thing I like was convenience to visit the Jasper National Park. However, stay experience was poor since it was so noisy, my family and I couldn't sleep entire night due to the noise in the corridor and from the room above ours. I complained about it to the receptionist but nothing changed. I won't recommend this for the families.

This property is branded as a Coast Hotel, but it’s really an Inn experience. The front desk staff were warm and welcoming, and my request for a feather-free, pet-free, smoke-free room was honored, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the moment I entered my room, there was a strong smoky, musky smell. Opening the window didn’t help, and I suspect the portable window-style AC, which was also very loud, was the source. It was too late to request a move, so I stayed, but I couldn’t sleep well, even using vapor rub to cope. Noise was another issue you can hear footsteps and voices from other rooms. Request a 3rd-floor room if possible. The bathroom was clean with great water pressure, but the tub was dangerously slippery, especially for senior guests. Rubber mats are needed to prevent accidents. Breakfast was decent, and the staff were attentive and friendly. Overall, while the people were great, the property is outdated and far from Coast Hotel standards this is not a hotel, it’s an Inn.

The room was clean and the staff were friendly, the breakfast had a good variety, the Korean restaurant was great, and they are pet friendly. The staff as I said were good, but there was an alarm that was accidentally set off by staff on our first night so we did have to prepare to evacuate the building. Our second biggest complaint was noise, the AC unit and bar fridge were very noisy at random times which was problematic when trying to sleep. And another noise issue was with the ice machine as it’s placed in the hallway which was very close to our room. So on our second morning someone was using the ice machine multiple times extremely early in the morning which woke us and our pets up. But our biggest complaint was the brightness of our room at night, as there is a make shift vehicle junkyard behind the hotel which has 2 very large spot lights, that lit up our room despite the room darkening curtains. We had to purchase sleep masks and ear plugs to combat the light, noise. But because of the noise and light issues which lead to such poor sleep quality, me and my wife actually ended our trip a day early, as we were scheduled from Thursday to Sunday but checked out early Saturday morning.

Overall good stay

The checkin was smooth. The overall stay was good. The room is spacious and wooden flooring and I love that bcos it ensures cleanliness. The only glictch was the AC heating was not working and they gave us a sperare heater which we managed for 3 nights as it got cold in the night. The breakfast service was great with hot buffet. We are eggiterians and upon request they changed it to have only spinach omlette instead of ham omlet. That was very helpful.
