Two-day stay in Hiroshima. The hotel is in the Hiroshima train station, so very convenient to catch the loop bus to the Peace Museum, as well as the train to catch the ferry to Miyajima island.

During our 20-day journey, the most memorable meal was at UmiShima Dining, the onsite restaurant. Although it operates as a café and buffet-style venue, the à la carte dinner options were exceptional. The Wagyu steak was hands-down the best I’ve ever tasted, and the cod appetizer was bursting with flavor. The service was equally impressive—attentive, warm, and professional. I wholeheartedly recommend dining here. The hotel itself is lovely and ideally situated for exploring Hiroshima’s key attractions and makes for a perfect base for a day trip to Miyajima Island.

Connected to Hiroshima station and the minamoa mall so everything was super walkable and convenient! There were plenty of food options including the best okonomiyaki I've ever had just one floor down from the hotel lobby. Very easy check in and self store luggage area for leaving luggage prior to check in. Amazing views from the lobby as well. Very clean and modern room with a comfortable bed and decently sized room by Japan hotel standards.

The perfect location to hop off the train, check into your hotel upstairs, access stores, food, and transportation (tram) into the city. We were even able to take in a baseball game at the stadium which was a quick 15 minute walk away.

New, clean and well staffed hotel at Hiroshima station Impressive, but pricey restaurant, but no on-site laundry. Quick and easy check in. Lobby employee gave directions to Jab Jab Wash 3 blocks outside station. 7-11 right outside station entrance to hotel. Room was clean and had a small sitting area and functional bathroom. Beside bus and trolley station adds convenience.

We originally booked this stay because the hotel is attached to the JR station, but we were pleasantly surprised with how much we loved it! The room was bigger than we anticipated and decorated beautifully, and we had an amazing view of the city. We didn't realize how new the South Gate building was so that probably contributed to how clean and well organized everything was.

An outstanding value for money, period. In the middle of lovely Hiroshima, All you need to have in terms of various dining, shopping, cafes, transportation etc, just steps away from your room door… Comfy room despite it’s size which is OK if you utilize each given space. The hotel is located in Hiroshima train station on the south side. Reception is on the 7th floor outside of the building and there is a exquisite view of the area. The staff are English friendly and very polite and nice and accommodate rooms are clean and cozy
