Great place to get away. It's close enough to Hollister that you can get in and out, but just outside enough that you can be fully inmersed in the peace and quiet. 10/10 recommend. Also, lots of cute bunnies in the backyard every morning
Inside was nice but the problem is that the driveway is down a long gravel road that was poorly maintained, brush damaged car bumper and paint, weeds literally 3ft high, pavers had significant weed overgrowth, had to drive fast down driveway due to brush so it wouldn't get stuck in wheel wells and the neighbors yelled and cursed at us. The vibe is spooky and scary, neighbors are not friendly. I think if the long gravel drive way is cleared might have been better. Very basic accommodations.
We appreciated that you allowed pets. However, the dog doors were not able to be closed off. We found this to be unsafe due to our dogs could have gotten out. Thankfully, they are clueless dogs & donât know what a dog door is. We improvised by putting cases of water bottles in front of the door to the garage to prevent them from getting outside. Also, the banister on the stairs is wobbly and could be dangerous if leaned on. We enjoyed the beauty of the area & was nice to be back on Hollister as we had moved away from the area seven years ago. The house was clean, although the carpet could use a good cleaning. The house was adequate for what we needed it to be.
The house it self is amazing , the location the views , the space , the house does need some love in cleaning , some towels were stained and dirty before use , found a lot of spider webs and mice droppings , as this is normal since we were out in the country . I still give the house a high review and would book again .
This is great family house it has everything we needed and more, plenary room all the amenities. Peaceful and cozy.
I will go back to this place again.
The house had cobwebs and ants everywhere. Neighbors dogs barked all night long. There are no dressers and other amenities sparce. Beds and linens poor quality. More needs to be done with this property before it should be available for short-term rental.
