The home was inviting. We enjoyed our stay. It would have been nice to know of construction going on next door. That was a bit of an inconvenience because of the noise so early in the mornings...vacations we tend to like to sleep in a little later than normal.. We loved the sleepy town feeling of the island. We would choose to stay here in the future once the construction is finished.

Beautiful view! The best on the beach! Needs to improve maintenance and cleaning. Many areas needed upgrading, cleaning, or fixing. However, owner was very responsive to immediate needs.

Great location!

We’ve stayed on Topsail before, but we really loved this spot! The house was perfect for our family. We hadn’t planned to max it out, but that’s how it worked out and we are so happy it could sleep 8!! We were comfortable and the beach was perfect. The owners were responsive and checked in with us. Such a great spot!

We had a great stay at the Salty Peanut. It was a great location with plenty of bedrooms to fit the family. My only complaint wasn’t really their fault and probably turned out in our favor - new houses were being constructed next door. They started working around 7:30, but that meant we got up early to enjoy the blank spot left on the beach in front of the construction. :) Overall a wonderful week!

Great Place! Great vacation!

My family and I had a great vacation here! Very clean place complete with everything you need- including sand buckets, chairs, and boogie boards. Pet friendly, so even our family dog had a great time. The layout is ideal for young adults to have their own space on one level. We had a very relaxing vacation. Will definitely stay here again.

beautiful oceanfront stay!

The house is very clean, beautifully decorated and equipped with more than everything you would need. The host was incredibly helpful and accommodating. The location also is great- right on the beach and very close to the center of Surf City, You can also pretty quickly get to both ends of the island.

Great Spot in Perfect Location

We had an amazing stay at Lori’s house! It was perfect for six adults, two kids, & a small dog! If anyone has mobility issues, there are two sets of stairs that could be challenging. The setup with the outdoor shower and washer/dryer also being outside made it perfect for coming in off the beach and not trekking sand in the house! Everything we needed was provided except for beach towels and a beach bag! Lori was so kind that she even drove over two hours and brought us new chairs for the second level balcony because the others were not usable. The only other thing that would be nice is if there was more seating on the top level balcony because it’s a money spot - perfect for coffee, midday snacks, or after dinner drinks! Thanks so much for everything, Lori! It was the perfect getaway to one of our favorite places!

Salty peanut

We found the house to be very clean, well organized, and very comfortable. I really enjoyed spending time on the upper deck with the ocean. We also found the house to be well supplied with extra beach chairs, umbrella, and other beach accessories. My only suggestion would be to update the furniture on the second deck, which I’m sure is on your list. Would definitely stay here again!!

Amazing long term stay

We stayed here a month and have zero complaints! The property is in a great location, so easy to walk the beach to all Surf City has to offer. Also just a quick drive over the bridge to breweries, restaurant, boutiques, and more. We watched the surf city fireworks from our deck and visited the beach daily since it was just out our doorstep. Our family of three had plenty of room and this place is so kid-friendly with the floor level bunk room. Wonderful. Already talking about when we can come back.

Topsail stay

Lori and Dave were absolutely wonderful to work with and we loved their space and will definitely be back. The place was modern and comfy cozy. You could fully enjoy the beach just by sitting on the deck overlooking the ocean or walking a few steps to the beach itself.

Great house & view

The house is clean and modern and had an amazing view of the ocean. We really enjoyed hearing the waves from the living room at night. All the rooms were well equipped for a comfortable stay. The driveway is shared with multiple units and is narrow, which makes it difficult to navigate with a vehicle of my size (F-150). This was made more difficult by neighbors taking up more space than needed with their vehicles and trash cans. The location of the washer and dryer (outside, under the house in a closet) is inconvenient, but a nice option if needed. We really enjoyed our stay, despite the constructive feedback.

The view was amazing, beds comfortable, and the home was well kept. We reached out to the host twice during our stay and they were very responsive, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was outstanding. We would definitely book again.
