Family time.

This property was just right for our family of 5 adults and 4 children. We had plenty of space, and the children ages10-5 had space to have good cousin time downstairs away from adults. We loved that it was on the beach and had a great deck. We like older cottages. There were a few maintenance issues-- a bathroom with poor water pressure to the bath tub and shower was the most significant. All and all it was a great time for our family.

Ok, Not really impressed

The home has issues, $$$$$ a week I think it's time to get some maint. done. Housekeeping is lacking also, I had to fix the garbage disposal, change light bulbs that were not working, I cleaned the windows ocean side so we could see out of them, the salt build up was terrible. None of the windows work properly, the latches are all oxidized and not working, they have sticks holding windows up. The kitchen faucet fell apart the first time we tried to use it, I had to tape it together. faucets, towel racks, light fixtures, rusty old and nasty. the back door handle so rusted the chrome is coming off and cut my hand when I opened it, the dishes under the counter are in the open and were all covered with black dusty nasty stuff. I know this will all probably fall on deaf ears, also the add for the property mentions a "wrap around deck" this is false, there is a back deck and a deck walk areas on one side going to the street, 2 of the bedrooms are in the basement of the home, that is what they are calling a second level. "Newly Renovated" means the floors were replaced, walls were painted, and a few new ceiling fans were installed. The kitchen is not a modern kitchen, appliances are old, And if your looking for a fireplace like the web site says you wont find it here. Mattresses are old and soft. Please be sure and ask about the conditions of the home and the area before booking. Pictures are not true images

We love topsail beach! The layout of the house was great. The beds slept so good!! We found sharks teeth, sea glass and lots of good shells!
