The Hilton is a family-friendly hotel. The hotel looks good. But it has one major problem, in the eyes of some, and that's me: cash payments are not allowed. The lobby bar isn't open all day.

When I arrived around 11 am I was told my 2 rooms were not ready, but they would be ready by check in time which was 3 pm and they would text me. We walked around the city and arrived back at the hotel around 3:15 no text. I inquired at the front desk when they told me only 1 room would be ready in 10 min. the other was not. So all 6 of us waited in the lobby. I was really upset because we had reservations we needed to get ready for and be on the road by 4! Finally around 3:30 1 of the rooms was ready. After 10 more min I complained they gave me another room no connected to the original but was a better view with no resort fees and no valet charge which I accepted. However, when we arrived back at the hotel later that evening we found the original first room was not clean with no towels. There was toothpaste stuck to the wall on the shower wall ! I'm not happy and now I find charges on my credit card for the amenities I was told would be comped.

The location of the property was perfect. It was centrally located on Waikiki and close to the beach. Loved the roof top pool and bar. The eating options at the hotel were very convenient. Staff all around, bar / restaurants / housekeeping, were all friendly and very competent.

It was alright. It wasn’t spectacular. I was told the parking would be included in my resort fee but when I went to check out it wasn’t included and that was an extra 500 dollars I wasn’t planning on spending. No option to self park and every time you go downstairs someone is trying to hassle you about a timeshare or seeing a magic show.

My family arrived at the hotel around 1030am, and Kit from the front desk was really nice to let us do an early check in with one of the available rooms. After sleeping 1 night, we noticed that the a/c wasn’t working that well so we asked if they could check. Marc, the maintenance guy, was great and did try to fix it, however, it still didn’t work so they had to transfer us to a different room. Pros: - Excellent location (5min walk from the beach, restos, and abc stores) -The MAC 24/7 restaurant in the lobby also had good food and great service. Cons: - rooms could use a microwave - the valet girl on our third day (Saturday am) wasn’t so nice. She totally forgot to inform the guys to get our car and we were waiting for 20min beside her..and she never apologized Overall, we were happy with our stay as it was convenient and the price was reasonable.

Don’t rent a car if you stay here. $55 a day is more than in NYC. That equals two nights in the hotel if you stay a week Very close to everything and walking distance to the beach
