Great location if youâre looking to be in the heart of all the action WaikÄ«kÄ« and Honolulu has to offer. Walking distance to many restaurants, shops and of course the beach. This is a small studio apartment but it had what we needed to make our stay memorable. The photos are a bit deceiving, you do have a partial ocean view, the photo looks as though you are right on the ground level steps from the ocean, itâs actually on the 7th floor and there is no direct access to the beach from this complex. To note-the directions to obtain the access key fob were a bit confusing. The lock boxes are not visible from the driveway entrance to the garage, but closer to the walk up entrance to the complex. We arrived and did not know which parking space was designated for us so I reached out to the property manager. Response was âdid you reserve a spot? If so check your email.â I did reserve a spot and never heard from the parking company until we were in the process of trying to figure where to park. Not helpful! Property manager, parking manager, 2 different entities and the email notification from the parking manager comes from an email that is not the name of the company you book parking with. This couldnât be more confusing if you tried. I found the response from the property manager rude and not helpful. email sent from the parking company DID NOT indicate a parking space. They required a phone call because they âwanted to meet us at the complex to go over a few thingsâ - not so.
The room and bathroom were very clean and had everything we needed. The bed is very comfortable. Everything you need is here for light cooking. The downstairs patio has an amazing ocean sunset view. Possibly one of the best.Parking was a challenge but Patrick, who is the desk clerk for Dimond Head holel and Residence (not affiliated with the Vrbo host), explaind parking. Street parking is free but limited, meter parking is free from 6 pm to 10 am. Very manageable but did require walking in the beautiful quiet Hawaii neighborhood. This was definitely not a resort but was perfect for my husband and my first trip to Hawaii.
Cons: The pictures were somewhat misleading and not entirely accurate (the view from this room is vastly different from what one would expect from the 10th or higher floors of the same building). The couch is extremely uncomfortable. The shower is tiny. Not even a bar soap is provided. The door that divides the studio and the toilet is a louver door, so be prepared for your bathroom trips to be quite public.
Pros: The room is spacious enough for 2 to pack/unpack. The bed is comfortable. No noise issues from other units or the neighborhood. Great location for walkers/joggers.
Overall, I find the pricing reasonable.
Studio room with kitchen (no stove/oven). Comfortable bed. Less comfortable couch. Picture of ocean view is accurate but does not include all the buildings and roofs that are also part of that view. Parking garage was full but we didn't need it. Always found parking either paid (.50/hr) or free close by.
Nice property, everything was as described. Great view and the bed was comfortable. Liked the location. Close to a lot of activities, but far enough away that it was very quiet at night.
This apartment is in perfect location if you want to stay out of very busy Waikiki but in the same time you are close enough to just take a walk to be there. Place is very nice and has everything you need. I would highly recommend to reserve parking spot.
Parking is almost impossible, shower is way too small. The unit was dirty around the base boards and the pillows were trash. I'm not trying to be rude or mean but just giving my honest opinion. It was not worth what I paid.
Check-in was easier than expected and the unit has plenty of room for 2 people. Kitchen supplies were accurately described so donât plan on cooking a gourmet meal but suitable for breakfast or simple meals. We loved the location and would stay here again! Had a slight issue our last night (there was a half marathon the day we were checking out and the surrounding streets were closed (the police said they could not guarantee weâd be able to leave) so we parked our car 3/4 mile away to ensure we could get to the airport. Parking across the street otherwise very easy. Overall we thought a great place despite that complication.
Highly recommended. The studio is cozy with an amazing ocean view and an unforgettable Diamond Head mountain backdrop. Lana provides everything necessary to make the stay "Perfect In Paradise!
Difficult access for mobility challenges. Parking. Arrived to property, difficulty accessing lock box, finally able to obtain key/parking FOB. Parking in garage very tight, even for small car. Park nearby. Beach down street, walking distance. For more able, walking to town accessible. For our needs, unit was challenging r/t Microwave in upboard above fridge - had to use step stool (very small), danger for those with balance and mobility issues. Possibly for anyone getting hot food/drinks out. TV was difficult, no instruction on site - kept getting "no signal". Have to say, value for this unit based on viewing unit next door lacked for appeal for homey to feel and better ammenities. People in general living/staying were very friendly. Security on duty at night.
