In receipt of the final bill and I have to say I have never been so disappointed in a VRBO rental. First of all, the lack of communication with Evolve, the management company, was ridiculous. Once reserved, we reached out to confirm patio furniture, a gas grill and how to pay the pet deposit. They did respond, though short and rude and never letting us know how to pay for pet fee. Upon arrival around 5:00 p.m., the propane tank for the gas grill was empty. We made contact with Evolve and was told a tank was being dropped off shortly. Around 7:00 p.m. we still did not have a propane tank and since we had planned on grill out for the evening, we refilled the tank ourselves. Then we discovered the latch on the back deck was broken, the fireplace did not work, dishwasher was not mounted and falling out of counter, and the microwave (which had old crusty food residue) had not been cleaned prior to our arrival. We never did hear back from Evolve on how to pay for the pet deposit, it was just charged to the credit card on file once we checked out. So after discovering everything wrong, refilling the propane tank ourselves and never being contacted regarding the pet fee, Evolve took it upon themselves to just take it!! No communication and no apology for never showing up with a propane tank or for the condition of the house, but they got their fees!! Needless to say, I will never rent another VRBO managed by EVOLVE!!
