The house is gorgeous, the neighborhood is quiet, and the surrounding nature is so calming. Then right around the corner youre smack-dab is in the middle of downtown. I found the guest binder very helpful for sourcing some good food and local attractions. The hosts were veylry communicative and helpful when I had questions (this was my first VRBO). Also, being able to bring my dogs and enjoy everything with them was so special :)
This home is perfectly secluded but also extremely close to Bathhouse Row which made enjoying all that Hot Springs has to offer super easy. The house is older and has a few quirks, like some light switches donât work and some things need updating (range hood, spa tub & shower head), but the owners have done an amazing job making it a comfortable and enjoyable home to be in. There are plenty of lamps, the bed was so comfortable and the private porch off the master bedroom was superb (like being in the park!). Please note that itâs a âclimbâ to get into the house and NOT handicap accessible. A steep walking incline with luggage is a workout and it can be slippery when wet. Thereâs parking for only 1 vehicle. Despite all these, we would definitely stay again).
The house was just perfect for our needs! Our pets enjoyed it as well! Thank you, Lauren, for your hospitality! Will definitely stay here if we ever get back to Hot Springs!
This was a very clean and comfortable property with all needed accommodations. It was pet friendly with a fenced oudoor space for a small dog when needing to go outside. Tucked into a mountainside, we were able to see deer while enjoying the patio space. The owners were immediately responsive to all of my questions. A list of attractions and eating establishments was available in the home along with emergency numbers if needed. 10/10 would recommend, and hope to stay again in the future!
Excellent location! The property is well maintained and comfortable. Close proximity to downtown and Lake Hamilton. We had an excellent time in Hot Springs, AR.
We enjoyed our stay at Lauren and Mikeâs cottage, it was such a unique house built into a mountain. Very comfortable and clean and well equipped. Communication was easy. And well located with easy access to downtown, hiking trails and lakes. I would highly recommend staying there.
The house was nicely done and is surrounded by the Hot Springs National Forest . There is a trailhead less than a quarter mile from the house so we hiked with our dog in the morning and enjoyed the natural beauty in the area for the rest of the day. Loved the Garvan Botanical Garden and the Anthony Chapel
Owner was super responsive. Interior was nice and clean. Comfortable beds. Nice amenities. Overall a 5 star inside. Exterior could use some cleanup-lots of weeds and high grass. Patio and porch were not used but could have used a sweep with a leaf blower.
Wonderful stay at this property despite the weather. House has everything you need. Even had a latern light to use in case the power went out. We stayed cozy indoors listening to the rain fall and even saw deer in the front yard. This is our second time staying here and we will definitely be back.
The cottagewas in a great location but neighborhood was a little run down. Cottage was cute and clean. The bed wassuper comfortable. The shower was odd being in the big black tub. Also the lighting outside was very dim for the dogs.
What a quiet and lovely place! Even though itâs close and convenient to town, the location up on the mountain makes it peaceful. The bed in the bedroom is comfy, the bathroom is unique & beautiful, and the kitchen is well-equipped (you might even find a mug for your fave NFL team!). The outdoor seating area is covered, and the trees were filled with birds. Bonus? The basement area is so fun to explore! Communication with Lauren & Mike was fantastic - they send you so many recommendations in advance of your stay. If youâre staying in Hot Springs, stay here!!!
The property is in a secluded, quiet neighborhood. Everything was clean and we were in close proximity to the Historic Downtown District of Hot Springs. The King Size bed was very comfortable and clean. The Jacuzzi tub and shower were nice!
This house is charming and clean with lots of amenities. Itâs located on beautiful wooded land within a neighborhood. We even saw a deer in the yard one evening. It is less than 5 minutes from all of the wonderful in-town activities including the thermal bathhouses and trails
We stayed here for a long weekend just this past week. We were really looking forward to the stay as prior reviews rated the home so high but unfortunately cannot give a high rating ourselves. First the pros- the home is very close to the main strip - not within walking distance as advertised but a short drive. Also, the back had great morning wildlife to enjoy. Now the concerns. The home had musty smell and wasnât in a very great part of town. The dishwasher did not work and tub bottom appeared dirty so we didnât try to use that. The property in general was very outdated despite new decor. The back railing was unsafe and not to code. The most concerning was the numerous tripping hazards throughout the property. Several rooms had small step ups or room transitions which would be unsafe for little kids or anyone over 50. My son tripped several times. The stairs to the basement were a metal spiral and I was shocked when I opened the basement door to go downstairs. They were definitely unsafe for any little kid and would be unsafe for someone older. The other thing we noticed was there were minimal towels and toilet paper. Only one spare roll of toilet paper for the bathroom seems stingy to me and only 4 towels in the whole house when the home sleeps 6. Lastly the beds were not comfortable. Neither bed had a box spring so there was absolutely no support. The bed hurt both my husbands and Iâs backs. Place is fine for young adults but not older people or young kids.
