The property has a lot of history and charm. Definity needs a little TLC to fix the holes and cracks in the walls, and trim in the bathroom needs to be replaced. Overall, it was a good stay.
This place was perfect for our group - Jim was so communicative and friendly. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were really comfortable. The first floor "common area" was like having a museum-level living room to hang out and play pool in. We had a number of adults who were all able to find space to be comfortable, and find rest.
I've told a lot of people about this place already and will continue to do so - thanks !
This was our second stay at the Oak Street Inn. The owner was very quick to answer questions, and we had a great time. The only thing missing was a corkscrew, but we always travel with one! We will definitely return!
This was a great place to stay during Family Weekend at MTU. Some of the drywall needs to be patched in the room, but overall it was clean, roomy and met all of our needs. We had fun playing pool in the eclectically decorated shared room on the first floor. Be aware stairs to upper suites are steep. They were a little hard on my mother who needs a knee replacement, but she was able to navigate them slowly. Good handrails! Loved the history of the place.
Wonderful old building, clean and well maintained. Perfect for our family of 5 but certainly sleeps more! Kids really enjoyed the pool table area. Loved all the old photos and history on the walls. Great location to see all of what the Keweenaw has to offer!
