Great little apartment

My wife and son enjoyed our stay. It's not a huge apartment, but was enough for the 3 of us. The property and the apartment were clean and we didn't have any issues checking in or during our stay.

Tidy digs, close to cool neighborhoods

The house was small but had everything needed for a short, pleasant stay. If it hadn't been so hot, the spacious backyard and covered area would have been a wonderful bonus. Close to Montrose, the Heights, Downtown, Fifth Ward, and other cool Houston 'hoods.

Uncomfortable and not worth the money

Read carefully. On the listing mentions staying in a older 4 bedroom home. You’re actually staying in what seems to be a small extension to the back of the house. Key pad is electronic and if you’re checking in at the time allowed expect the sun to hinder your ability to get in quickly. Upon entering the home it was extremely hot. There is one mini split unit for the entire place and is located in the one bedroom. If you look closely to the pictures provided by the owner you’ll see there is a little slit to the top of the wall in the living room. Apparently that is some kind of vent that is suppose to pull air from the bedroom to cool the living, dining, and bathroom. First, vent is loud when operated. It is not sufficient for the area needing to be cooled and being that the restroom is it’s own room there’s just no way it would have cooled that area. I gave the home 45 mins to cool off (granted the A/C was already running when I got there) after that I had to leave because it was unbearable and could not see myself putting up with the uncomfortable conditions for two nights. On top of that home was covered in glade plug-ins which made me wonder what smells or odors they were trying to hide and You’ll be next to some questionable neighbors. Please think twice before renting look at the photos and stay somewhere else.
