Friday evening of our stay there was a typical pop up thunderstorm. Normal for summers in the south. Lasted maybe an hour. The ceiling in the ONLY BATHROOM leaked all over our things and water ran into the main bedroom downstairs. I reached out to the property management company immediately. They sent maintenance. Fine. Iâm let them know I was leaving for a hotel for the last two days of our stay, as it is completely unacceptable to expect us to stay in the home, and only asked for a refund on the last two nights we wouldnât use. I cleaned the house out as required for checkout, let them know, spoke with property management by phone, text, and chat and as of Monday morning, I am still being told they âput a request in to the ownerâ for a refund. VRBO is no help and said they canât do anything since our stay is over. So, in working with the host, as they asked us to do, we got no help whatsoever. For an otherwise nice property that we enjoyed, it was surely a crappy way to end this trip. I do have both photos and videos to show this event occurring, which were all sent to the host, if needed or anyone is curious. Those water stains on the bathroom ceiling are not old and just need painting, there is an active leak at the time of our stay. I am still waiting to see if the owner will refund us the two nights we chose not to stay in the house with one unusable bathroom. Will update review if a resolution is made.
