When you walk in, you are greeted with the entertainment space and then followed by that a gorgeous white custom designed kitchen that opens up to the modern spacious living room with big windows showcasing the lake, with a beautiful fireplace and TV mounted on top.

Too many options to choose from in Cypress. This rental should not be one of them. Poor communication with the host. I texted request for check-in instructions on day prior to arrival – no response. I texted again at time of check-in (3:00 pm) – again, no response. I called at 3:45, and was able to reach host. He hurried me off the phone, saying he’d IM instructions, which were immediately received. Included in the check-in instructions, he said there would be soft drinks and bottled water upon arrival. Nope. Scoured the house looking for the tv remote for the master bedroom. Never found. I did find, however, the missing smoke alarm in the dresser drawer. We could not use the master shower. The temperature control knob was non-functional. The only option was scalding hot water. Very dangerous!! Part of the rental agreement was also the use of the pontoon boat. We didn’t dare take him up on the offer – the driver seat was not bolted to the floor. Someone previously must have had fun in it though. The ashtray was full of cigarette butts. Not surprisingly, we were given no check-out instructions.

Horrible stay. Bare minimum was done to maintain property in the cheapest way. Owner allowed early check in after days of trying to reach out to him. When called he would say call back. But never did. And you would need send text after text.Front door did not work properly. Had to go in by the garage. Smoke alarms had a loud beeb that kept going off after every 2 mins.Boats seat was broken.House was not cleaned properly.Main bedroom shower was stuck on full heat.Things were broken.Pool table sticks are broken.Towels were hidden and needed to look into every drawer in the house until found in one bedroom. I was there for my engagement weekend. So did not have time to deal with all this. When I reach out to the owner after the stay. He says. “Why not bring this up during the stay” and never replies back after that. Nice property but did not maintain well for people to be staying in. Would not recommend this place.

We had a really bad experience with this house. I have never written a bad review on VRBO but this is necessary! The house is not as described! Two of the beds had pillow shams only- no pillowcases. There was no toilet paper in one bath and the other had a partial roll (they brought some more when I called). The hot tub was covered by a shrub and couldn’t be used. The boat was not working. The pool sticks had no cues on the tips. The dishwasher pod was still in the machine and whatever was in there was put away without being cleaned. The kitchen drawer with the pots and pans was covered with a yellow grease and another drawer had food and dead bugs. The overall impression of the house was “poorly maintained”. We called the number listed with our concerns and he wanted to make it better by offering us a 150 discount. The owner was supposed to call us but we haven’t heard from them.

Great Location outside of Houston

This is a beautiful house just outside of Houston. The host was very polite and accommodating. The neighborhood is pretty and quiet.
