We arrived at 6:30pm and were told there was not a room for us. The staff were unable to help and unwilling to provide more information on who owns the hotel. I strongly suspect the hotel does not comply with heath and safety rules.
We received a refund from Expedia, but I would not have any confidence in receiving a refund directly from the hotel.
Stay away.
The room was OK, but finding the hotel and finding the room within the hotel were both very difficult. They also asked for an additional card checking fee before check-in, though thankfully they waived this when we queried it. The remote check in made the start of the stay very stressful, but once we were in it was fine. There are some lovely period features in the property, but some of the paneling is actually wallpaper!
Booking got cancelled on the day. Owner said they would refund but let's see if that actually happens
